The Knead Me Set is a combo set that includes a massage candle and a palm sized massager made by JimmyJane. The Afterglow massage candle is an oil based candle that is 4.5 fluid ounces and comes in a very elegant type ceramic candle holder. The holder measures 2-1/2" cubed. The Palm sized massager measures about 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 3-3/4". The finish is a very smooth, glossy finish.

The packaging was very nice. It came in a white box with a deep pink, satin ribbon attached to the box. Inside were two separate boxes; one for the Massager and one for the candle. This makes a great gift set OR if you choose to keep one item, you can always give the other away since they are separately packaged. Each box comes with a small booklet inside to explain the product and how to use.

The Afterglow Massage Candle comes in a Dark Vanilla scent. Those of you that love vanilla are going to love this candle. The dark vanilla is just as it sounds. It’s a very rich, powerfully scented vanilla (to me anyways). I am not a big fan of vanilla, but this candle definitely turned me onto the scent! This candle is an oil-based wax that melts at a very low temperature. The holder has a small spout on the corner of the cube for easy pouring. This makes a "solo massage' for hands, feet or other body parts very simple to do.

How to use: Light the candle (after trimming the wick) and let it burn for about 2-5 minutes or until there is a good size puddle of wax melted. When the puddle appears, blow out the candle and pour through the pour spout. The wax will be hot, but not enough to burn or cause discomfort (again, this is a personal opinion, it may be too hot for some. I suggest that you test the oil with the tip of a finger before pouring onto any body part. If it is too hot, wait for about a minute before pouring.). Massage the oil into the skin. For me, I thought that the wax was a bit tacky/sticky and didn't absorb very well into my skin. I felt as though I needed to shower afterwards. So I did.

This candle has a burn time of about 30 hours so this is sure to last quite a while. If you choose not to use as a massage candle, the scent is very good and does linger a good amount, so you could always use it for a decoration or not burn it at all and keep it "clean" looking for a mantle or centerpiece. This would also make a great housewarming gift, anniversary or wedding gift.

The palm sized/shaped massager is rounded on one side and on the other side has a dip inward toward the rounded side with four, fat nubs on it for massage out kinks and deep knots. The spacing apart from each other is nice and because they are rounded, it makes for a nice smooth massage. I would recommend that if you use lubricants or the oil with this massager to make sure not to get any towards the top of the massager or where your hand is placed. When this massager gets wet/oily it will get slick and slip right out of your hand, making massaging very difficult. My wife couldn't seem to find a comfortable way to hold this massager because the oil was everywhere. It kept slipping out of her hand. She tried to flip the massager upside down, to where the "palm side" or rounded side was facing downward on my back. This was really a nice feel as well and allowed her to get a better grip on the massager.

I would definitely say that this is a great add on to any massage "stash", for beginners or as a gift. I would recommend this kit to anyone, but I still feel as though the candle could have been a bit of a better, smoother quality.

This was one of the first massage candle/massagers that my wife and I bought when we first started making purchases. At first, it was wonderful. The massager seems to be a bit awkward and somewhat too "deep" of a massage for me. Since trying other things and working around this set, I still like the candle, but we have been having some awkward issues with hanging onto the massager itself during massages. We found that it's more of a pain to handle this than just using our hands, so the massager tends to sit out most times. It works great as a foot massager though, because my feet are the most "knotted" parts of my body, so those require a deeper penetration. My wife has issues digging that deeply into my feet because of her lack of being able to apply that much pressure with her hands, so it's nice for a foot massage, but for the back and body massages, we stick with our hands or other "easier handled" massagers. This thing does get pretty slick. I have to say though, the set does add a sort of "fancy" look to our bedside table!
