Use

Cake Beauty's Milk Made Nourishing Bath and Shower Bubbles can be used to create a softly scented, moisturizing bubble bath. It also makes a nice, luxurious daily shower product. Simply squirt into running water or add a dollop to a washcloth or shower pouf and cover yourself in sweetly scented bliss!

Ingredients listed on the Milk Made Nourishing Bath and Shower Bubbles are:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Sodium Coco Sulphate*, Coco-Betaine, Coco-Glucoside*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin*, Stearic Acid*, Laurel Glucoside Fragrance (Parfum), Potassium Sorbate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow Extract), Hydrolyzed Milk Protein

The ingredients marked with an * are derived from Coconut. This product does contain glycerin; even though it is plant derived, glycerin is still glycerin. If you have a glycerin intolerance, this is not the product for you.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Milk Made Nourishing Bath and Shower Bubbles is thin and creamy with no texture or grains. It is much thinner than average body washes or bubble baths, so it will run down skin quickly. It pours from the bottle very easily with just the slightest squeeze. The product is milky, opalescent white in color and does not feel sticky or greasy on skin.

Taste / Aroma

The smell of the product is quite strong in the bottle. It is very sweet, with a nice blend of vanilla milk and baked raspberry. I don't find the smell to be artificial or chemical, and it certainly smells like baked goods (particularly raspberry bars).

Pouring the product right onto the skin or a washcloth/pouf doesn't subdue the scent much. The scent is still a bit strong while showering with it and it nicely scented my whole bathroom. Using it as a bubble bath does dilute the scent somewhat. While it still scented my whole bathroom, the water and bubbles were not as strong as the smell in the bottle or directly on the skin and the entire scent faded after some time. By the end of a bath, the smell was less of a baked goods smell and more reminiscent of a Strawberry Shortcake doll (the Raspberry Torte one, to be specific). While I didn't find that to be terribly offensive, some might. To each their own, I guess.

This is an external use only product, do not ingest. I didn't taste this, neither should you.

Performance

I first used this product as a bubble bath. I added about a tablespoon to running water and it sprang up into an average amount of bubbles. They weren't overwhelming and I didn't end up with Bubble Mountain, but it was a nice, average amount. After 35 minutes, most of the bubbles had melted, but I was still left with a nice mountain of them at the bottom of the tub (though I did play with them a bit and rub the bubbles on my skin). For a bath of about 30 to 45 minutes, there will still be some bubbles, but I suppose a longer bath of about an hour or so will be bubble-less. The product also didn't leave any residue or slipperiness once the bath was emptied.

Using this as a shower gel/cream was satisfactory. This is not the highest lathering product I've ever used, but the lather was adequate and did its job.

Again, this product has glycerin in it - though it is plant derived, it can still cause problems for those who cannot tolerate the ingredient.

As you can see from the above photos, this product gave me several inches of nice, thick foamy bubbles.

Packaging

The Milk Made Nourishing Bath and Shower Bubbles arrives in the clear plastic baggie Eden uses to ship all of its liquid products in. The white plastic bottle is short and squat, and holds 17.4 fluid ounces of product. The lid is a push top - simply push in one side to elevate the pouring hole side of the lid. The lid can also be screwed off.

The entire bottle/label is discreet, nothing screams that you bought this through a sex toy website... it will blend in with all of your other bath time products. The white and pink label states the name of the product, a brief paragraph on the front describing the scent and usage in English and French; the back lists the ingredients in English and French, states that this is Made in the USA, and gives the Cake Beauty website address.

This might not be the easiest/best product to travel with because of its size - though one could simply pour some of it into a more travel-friendly container. However, I have noticed no leaking from the bottle, so you could travel with it if you wish (though you should always place it into a Ziploc baggie to prevent spills in case it does leak or pop open).

As I said above, the packaging is very discreet and lovely and would make a nice gift. There is also a "1" recycling code on the bottom of the bottle. The number 1 (for PET or PETE plastics) is the most common for single-use bottled beverages and such because it is inexpensive, lightweight and easy to recycle. It poses low risk of leaching breakdown products. It can be picked up through most curbside recycling programs, so the Milk Made bottle is very easily recycled.

Experience

I have always wanted to try one of the Cake Beauty products, but was always unsure if I would like the scents. I usually don't like berry scented items at all, nor do I really care for vanilla products... though for some reason, when certain scents are combined, I like them much better. That is definitely the case with the Milk Made Nourishing Bath and Shower Bubbles! The vanilla milk and baked raspberry scents are very nicely blended and thankfully neither gave me a headache as I am somewhat scent sensitive. The smell definitely reminds me of raspberry cookie bars, though I don't really care to eat those.

In the bottle, the product smells quite strong. And as I said above, pouring this onto skin or a washcloth/pouf results in the scent remaining strong. However, adding this to a running bath dilutes the scent. It still smells quite yummy, but it is less intense. It softly scented my whole bathroom, and I could still smell that scent an hour or two after I had finished using the product.

As a bubble bath, it gave me a nice, average layer of bubbles which lasted 35 minutes. I still had some bubbles left at that 35 minute mark, but I had played with them and caused some to melt before they would have naturally. I assume all the bubbles would be completely melted before an hour. The bubbles and water were both lightly scented. Near the end of my bath, the scent had definitely faded and was less baked goods/raspberry bars and more Strawberry Shortcake-Raspberry Torte doll smelling. I don't personally find that smell offensive, though others might. I also used this as a body wash and while not highly lathering, it performed well.

After using the product, my skin was soft but not overly moisturized. The scent also lasted longer than I had anticipated. It was very subtle, though, but I could still smell it for several hours afterward. It really didn't smell exactly like it did in the bottle or while using, but my skin smelled clean and softly sweet. I also had to hold my arms/skin right up to my nose to smell it, so it isn't overwhelming and I don't see it clashing with perfume or other scented body products one might use. (After taking a photo of the product running down my hand, I rubbed it into my skin and rinsed it off... after using the bathroom, I washed my hands with simple antibacterial soap and I can still smell the Milk Made on my palms. So if you pour this right onto your skin, the scent will definitely last longer.)

Overall, I think this is a very nice product. It's a little pricey for what it is, but I think it smells delicious (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like berry scented products), and I only needed a small amount of the product for a bath and shower. Perhaps the price will pay off in the end because not much of the product is needed, so it should last for some time. I definitely recommend this to other bath product lovers and I have already ordered more Cake Beauty products to try out.
Follow-up commentary
I still love the smell of this! And I still have quite a bit of the product left because I don't need a large amount for a shower or bath. I do plan on purchasing another bottle whenever I finish this one up.
