Maybe Next Time

Add some delightful bubbles to your bath with the Milk made nourishing bath and shower bubbles. The smell is not for everyone, so it would be great if this was offered in some of Cake Beauty’s other scents.

Use

The Milk made nourishing bath and shower bubbles can be used as a bubble bath or as a body wash. It lathers very well, and the bubbles last so it’s really up to you how you want to use it. It’s supposed to be moisturizing to the skin, but I didn’t really notice much of that.

It contains glycerine which may be a problem for some women. As listed, the ingredients are:
Water, Sodium Coco Sulphate, Coco-Betaine, Coco-Glucoside, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Laurel Glucoside, Fragrance, Potassium Sorbate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow Extract), Hydrolyzed Milk Protein.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This product is a bit thinner than most other bubble baths and body washes. The push tab design makes for easy dispensing. A palm full of this gave bubbles that lasted for about 15 minutes. I couldn’t bathe longer than this and I’ll get to that in a bit. The same amount lathers up well, enough to soap up with but I wanted to gag the entire time. Thankfully it completely washes off.

Taste / Aroma

Some people love this smell, but it just gets to me. To me, it smells like molasses and rotten strawberries. It’s been described as cheesecake and I love cheesecake, but this doesn’t smell like cheesecake. It doesn’t give me a headache, but it makes me gag, so I have to open the cap far from my nose.

Performance

There were a few things that kept this product from blowing me away. First, the awful smell. Maybe it’s because I don’t eat a lot of sweets, but I couldn’t bathe in this without feeling almost sick. My skin felt normal afterwards, not moisturized. Finally, when I have a bubble bath, I like to completely soak in it. Well the next morning I woke up with woolly hair. I always have silky soft locks after a shower or bath, so I was less than pleased.

There’s no extra packaging to deal with which is always nice. All the information you need is right on the 17.4 ounce bottle. No one will know where you got this, so feel free to leave it out.

I really wanted to love this product, but what it did to my hair and nose, I just can’t ignore. The bubbles were nice, so if this was offered in another scent, I would probably try it. I’ll be passing this along to a friend who will hopefully have better luck with it.
