The Hitachi Magic Wand is marketed as a personal massager, but many women use it as a vibrator. It is extremely powerful and, depending on how strongly you like your clitoris stimulated, you may find that it is too powerful for your taste.

Personally, because I'm sensitive with vibrators, I would not want to use this with my partner. However, I know many couples who use the wand for forced orgasms and more.

I've also used the wand as a massager on my neck and back. I happen to think it's great for that use!

The wand handle is made of hard plastic with the motor cased inside. It's not contoured, so it is somewhat slippery but not difficult to handle.

The head of the wand is bulb-shaped and made of a padded, spongy, vinyl material. There is no odor from any part of the wand. It's not designed for oral use, so I did not taste it.

It's difficult to criticize the design or shape of the Hitachi Magic Wand because it is marketed as a personal massager, not as a vibrator.

If I were reviewing it as a vibrator, I'd say that the shape of the handle could be improved by making it contoured and by changing the material so it wouldn't be so slippery. However, given that this product is marketed as a massager, my only comment would be that the handle could be made smaller.

My favorite feature of the Hitachi Magic Wand is that the handle seems to absorb a lot of the vibrations and not cause my fingers to numb while I'm holding it.

It performs beautifully as a massager; I personally find it a bit on the strong side for use as a vibrator. There are two settings: High and Low. Low was extremely powerful; High was hair raising! I'm interested in trying one of the accessories, which promises to add more speed/vibration control to the wand.

I store the wand in my closet; however, it could easily be left on a nightstand or dresser. It is sturdy and durable.

Cleaning is simple. When I'm done with the wand, I wipe the head of it with an antibacterial wipe; the handle can be cleaned in the same manner.

The wand could be used with a lubricant, but since it's not used internally, I don't think lube is necessary with this product.

The wand is packaged in a simple box that is labeled as a personal massager. It is extremely discreet and could easily be given as a gift. The box could also be used to store the wand if necessary.
