If you are interested in some "good vibrations" the Hitachi Magic Wand is the tool for you. It's super powerful, with two speeds... high and low. Although, with the strength this baby can give - I'd call it "high" and "higher". Great for external stimulation, the Hitachi has enough power that you can use it over clothing and still get off, or directly on the clit for a quick orgasm. I use it by myself but have also had my partner use it on me to great success. He even likes the stimulation to his balls and penis as well!

The Hitachi Magic Wand has a hard plastic handle and a cushiony soft plastic head. The head is round, and isn't built for internal usage. Not much texture - but it's not really needed.

The Hitachi is definitely not a travel vibrator. It is large, clumsy to pack and good for home use. With a weight of 1.2 pounds, it's a bit heavy, making long sessions a little tiring to the hand. The cord on the vibrator is also short - definitely use with an extension cord. While 6 feet might seem like a long enough cord, once you've plugged it into a socket it can be difficult to reach beds and other places to enjoy your Hitachi without an extra 12 feet or so.

The vibration happens all in the head of this Magic Wand. It's loud. It's super strong. On your clit the high speed can be a bit intense, especially for those who aren't avid vibrator users. Just one switch means easy usage, and yes... it can even be used for its intended purpose as a back massager. The controls are a switch on the handle, and toggle from off, to on, to "really" on.

You shouldn't really need to do much care of this vibrator. The head does not come off, so if you're going to share your Hitachi I'd recommend using condoms as a cover. If it's your personal toy, a good cleaning with some sex toy cleaner or antibacterial soap should be all you need. Storage is not too hard... a plastic baggie over the head serves to keep it clean.

Hitachi recommends you do not use this "massager" for more than 25 minutes at a time, and to leave it for 30 minutes between uses. I've exceeded that... but I don't recommend going against manufacturer's directions. :)

Although I've only had my Hitachi for a year or so, I've heard these babies can last for ages... 20+ years with good care. Well built for long usage.
