It's Almost Like Kissing an Orange

This is, by far, the best lip balm I have ever used. It's a little expensive, but the quality of it and the flavor/scent definitely make up for that.

Spreading on some Kissing Balm, I was immediately surrounded by the sweet smell of oranges and honey. It moisturized my lips and made them look great, without getting sticky like most lip balms and glosses. I finished getting ready for my date with my boyfriend, who was due to arrive at any moment.

Upon kissing him hello, he immediately complimented me on the flavor of my lip balm. I personally could not really taste it on my lips, but he said it tasted very sweet, like honey. I might not have tasted it because I got used to the flavor from the small amount of it that got in my mouth when I applied it to my lips. I could definitely smell it the whole time I was wearing it and even a little after it wore off, too.

The true test for the Kissing Balm came later that night. Typically when I am making out with my boyfriend, my lip gloss will get stickier and end up making both of our lips have some nasty stuff on them. As we made out, the Kissing Balm stayed on strong. It didn’t get sticky or leave any weird byproduct of lip gloss and kissing on our lips, and it also did not completely disappear. I was pretty much overjoyed at this, because I like to wear lip gloss, but if it is going to get disgusting when I kiss my boyfriend, I don’t really want to wear it at all.

The only downside to the Kissing Balm is the price. It is $18 plus shipping and handling for a small glass jar of balm. I suppose the price can be justified by its natural ingredients, and the jar also proclaims that the product is tested on people, rather than animals. In today’s world, $18 for a jar of lip balm isn’t that outrageous to some people, such as the ones who pay $50 for a little jar of eye shadow or something like that. But to the rest of us who aren’t so eager to spend tons of money on cosmetics, that’s quite a bit of money.
Follow-up commentary
This is still definitely my favorite lip balm. It still tastes great, and is holding up well in the heat. It has only sweated a little, but it hasn't affected how well the lip balm goes on at all. I am definitely looking forward to trying this whole product line.

I love how a lot of products now are using coconut oil. This sounds lovely, although pricey.
