This seems like a fantastic idea. A lovely dry shampoo in a classic Cake scent. I love Cake's stuff, and I wanted to be able to get something of their's that doesn't cost my left arm.

First impression? This item is impossible to open!! I poked and jabbed at where the opening should be for a bit of time before I wound up grabbing something sharp and giving it a quick jab. That did it, and it was open. The smell of the item is almost overpowering at first! It's a delicious smell, sort of vanilla-y among other things. The powder is velvety soft on the skin, and absolutely stunning.

In use as a dry shampoo? This stuff, I have found, is useless. A lot doesn't go close to a long way. The directions state to 'sprinkle this velvety powder into your hands and run through your hair to refresh and renew between washing'. I don't think 'sprinkle' is a very good word for this. More like pour. Really, I think it could be better to sprinkle straight into the hair. You might actually get some coverage that way! You're supposed to rub this into the roots and it will absorb the excess oil on your scalp. This does not seem to do what would be expected. My hair was left as limp and sad as ever, but with a slightly white tone over my hair.

It is to be noted that this is apparently for 'lighter hues', which I have learned refers to hair. I would not mind seeing the darker hues version to compare if it leaves a dusty overtone on my hair stuff.

For a body powder, this is a rather fantastic item. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth with little to no residue. It is not made with talc, but rather uses corn starch as a base.
Ingredients include:
Corn Starch, Silica, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Propolyne Glycol, Water, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria), Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Benzyl Benzonate, Lemonine, Eugenol, Coumarin, Citral.

Overall: For a dry shampoo- find something else. For a nice body power? This is amazing! It smells fantastic! Go for it!
Follow-up commentary
This stuff saddens me every time I try to use it. My mother even pointed out that it leaves a sort of gray-ish residue behind in the hair. This should only really be used on your skin.
