The Satin sugar hair and body powder from Cake Beauty is made to refresh your hair and body between washing. It is irreplaceable for busy people who want to look great in any situation. The powder is also very useful for traveling - it is compact so you can take it on a plane or train or whatever and feel fresh and clean during the whole trip.

The powder is easy to use: you just sprinkle it into your hands and run through your hair, concentrating on the roots. The powder absorbs excess oil leaving your hair refreshed and renewed. Same works with your body - sprinkle the powder on your skin and rub it into. The powder leaves your skin feeling fresh and smelling nice.

The powder is talc-free and infused with calendula and chamomile to smooth and soften. The ingredients are: Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Silica, Parfum (Fragrance), Caprylyl Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Aqua (Water), Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Eugenol, Coumarin, Citral.
May contain: Iron oxides (CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499)

The texture is like any other loose powder texture (e.g. face powder, baby powder, flour). Beige powder feels nice on my hands and body, it is soft and velvety. The powder absorbs quite fast - takes me about a minute to rub it into the skin or hair. Because the powder is loose you need to be careful when you sprinkle it - you may end up getting out much more than you needed and have it all over you.

The powder's aroma is light and sweet. I wouldn't call it yummy, though it may remind you of some bakery, and it is definitely nice. After using the powder your skin smells pleasant for several hours (not for the whole day though), but probably no one except you will smell it, only if he (or she) comes very-very close.

When there are other strong scents in the room or when I use a perfume even I can't smell the powder's aroma on me. And in any case when I put this powder on my hair I don't smell it at all during the day, just for a few minutes right after I put it on. Although I can't always smell the powder itself it has a really great quality: it somehow absorbs other smells from the skin, making it smell fresh as if I've just taken a shower.

I use this powder mostly on my hair and I really like how it works. Professionals don't recommend washing long hair very often, but no one likes when hair look greasy. This powder is a perfect solution to extend the time between washing. The powder works like a dry shampoo, absorbing excess oil, so that hair doesn't look greasy anymore. Of course if the hair is very greasy the powder won't help, but if it's just starting to become greasy it works great. I use it on the second and third days after washing my hair and it looks clean and fresh.

As a body powder it also works well. After using it my skin feels soft, smooth and fresh, smells nice and there is no greasy feeling. Actually, I don't use it much as a body powder, because I have no problem taking shower several times a day if I want, but I will definitely take it with me and use it if I go traveling.

The powder is packed in a beige (with pink areas and white writings) plastic tube container. The container is made from recyclable materials. On the front part of the container there are product's and company's names and the volume: 50 g.e. / 1.7 Oz. On the back part there is information about how to use the powder, list of the ingredients and some information about the producer.



On the top of the container there is a cap, which consists of two parts: stable part with the hole, and above it there is a turning part also with the holes, which you turn to get the powder out. On the turning part there is a large hole and a group of little holes, so you can dose the powder easily. I use the small ones most of the time, because I can control it better. Even this way I usually end up having all my clothes covered in this powder.

When you get the powder there is no hole in the stable part of the cap, only the place where you should make it. Maybe that's just me, but making this hole was quite a challenge. My hole consists of little ones and doesn't look very nice. I would appreciate if the producer included instructions how to open the package.



I even took the whole cap off to look what happens. That is why top of my container is scratched on the photos. But thanks to this I know that the package is only half full. You can see it on the picture.

Several years ago I read in some magazine that there is a special powder for hair, and I started looking for it. I couldn't find it in the local stores and I gave up, forgot about it. Now when I saw it on Eden I ordered it immediately and I didn't regret. This powder works just like I thought it will be, I'm happy having it.
