More than just a vibrator

Sold as both a vibrator and a body massager the Hitachi magic wand does a great job as both and is the ultimate tool especially if you like to include massage in your sexual play. To be honest as a guy my original intentions for buying the Hitachi magic wand was to use it primarily as a massager for my back, shoulders and feet after a long day, which it does an exceptional job at, however after reading a few reviews for it I had a few other ideas in mind for my more private play with other toys and for massaging of a more sexual nature.
Although the Hitachi magic wand works fine during solo play I would definitely recommend use with a partner to reach those hard to get spots and with all the power behind the Hitachi you won’t be left tired after a nice massage session leaving you with plenty of energy for more bedroom fun.

Made out of different plastics and an 8 on the Eden Safety Scale the Hitachi wand is built better than cheap plastic toys, has no offensive plastic smell or sharp seams and is plenty durable to stand up to many years of proper use. With a tennis ball size head made of a soft plastic material and smooth texture the standard Hitachi head will be sure to please you no matter the area that you happen to be using it on.

Designed with a long handle and a large vibrating head the Hitachi magic wand measures at over 12 inches long with a 6 foot cord and a powerful motor that makes this massager anything but discreet. As far as the shape of the Hitachi I would have to say that although the head of the wand is designed well the handle could use an update to something a little more comfortable to hold perhaps using a softer material and a shape that is friendlier for people with smaller hands.

Even with the 6’ cord which many will assume is pretty long you will most likely need to use the Hitachi with an extension cord in order to reach all of the places that you want without having to move closer to an outlet and because you do require house mains to power the Hitachi this toy is not very discreet for use with roommates or if traveling to a place that does not use a standard American outlet.

Designed with only 2 speeds the Hitachi doesn’t have any sort of fancy patterns or several different levels of speed but what it lacks in features it makes up for in raw power and performance. With its 2 speeds both of which are pretty powerful about 99% of the vibrations are channeled to the round head which prevents the users hand from going numb from the vibrations during extended massage sessions.

The two speeds High and Low are adjusted with a large rocker switch which is easy to use even though the handle may be a little difficult to hold if you have sweaty hands or are covered in massage oils. Unfortunately because this massager is so powerful its definitely noisy even on the low setting and can easily be heard through a door on the higher setting.

Made of mostly plastic the Hitachi magic wand is simple to clean with a cloth and some soapy water if the head gets too dirty however caution needs to be taken to not get it wet as it does operate off of house mains power. If needed the cover on the Hitachi wand can be removed and cleaned separately without fear of electric shock. One of the main advantages of using the plastic head is that it is compatible with water, silicone and oil based lubes and massage oils so there is little worry of incompatibility with lubes and massage oils.

A great massager though the handle and control could use a redesign. If a more ergonomic handle made of a silicone material could be made along with an adjustable power switch or even patterns the Hitachi magic wand would be much more fun to use.
