My Coochy's New Best Friend

I love this stuff it has a wide range of uses, and lasts a long time compared to shaving cream. It can gunk up a razor but otherwise is a wonderful product that leaves the skin irritant free and moisturized. There are a few ingredients that can cause irritation for those with sensitive skin, so may not be fit for everyone, but those with tougher skin you will want to try this stuff out.

extremely useful review
My first time seeing Coochy was it splurging down the front of a woman presenting it for sale. After this thought I had to try it out. I had heard all the hype from both friends and other members of Eden about this product. I was weary due to the price, but not that I tried it I’m hooked.

The bottle I purchased was 11 dollars for one of the older style bottles. The bottle is a slim plastic bottle (that is recyclable after use), with a pop top lid similar to many shower gels. This can get gunked up easily if not wiped off after use. The bottle will fit in with most cabinets and as long as you don’t care about the name it can be left in plain site.

D.L. Water,
Steralkonium Chloride, Is found mainly in conditioners, but is an anti- static agent, these take moisture out of the air to reduce friction, This is also used as an antimicrobial agent, If you have highly sensitive skin beware, this is known to irritate the skin at high concentrations on average skin.
Cetyl Alcohol, Is made from different oils including palm, and vegetable oil, it can also be made from petroleum products. It is a thickening agent found in many lotions and shampoos.
Stearyl Alcohol, A fatty alcohol that is naturally occurring, it is also a thickening agent, but can be used for fragrance.
Hydroxyethylcellulose, Made from cellulose, it is found in many cosmetics but also household cleaners, so be careful with sensitive skin, it is a thickening agent.
Glycerin Stearate SE, Another thickening agent that is made from glycerin.
Jojoba Oil, A botanical extract that is used to mimic human’s natural skin oils. It can be used as a moisturizer.
Lanolin, Typically from sheep it is a waxy substance they secrete, helps to wick moisture off of the skin, if is used in many skin protectant products, It can be extracted when the sheep is shore so harming the sheep does not occur.
Keratin Protein, can be made artificially, found on skin nails, and hair, is used to strengthen, mainly found in hair products to soften.
Panthenol, A moisturizer, it is recommended for tattoos to help keep them bright and shiny, it penetrates the skin well.
Allantion, Helps to make the skin more moist, promoting cell respiration on the skin, is found in plants and urine of some mammals, biodegradable.
Methyloparaben, An anti-fungal preservative, that is found in blueberries and several other fruit, It is biodegradable in soil.
Fragrance,
Propylparaben, A preservative found in many water based cosmetics, this can be either natural or made by man.

I found the price to be a bit steep until I saw how long it lasted compared to shaving cream. One bottle of Coochy lasted approximately 125-130 leg shavings; this includes both legs in the count. A typical bottle of shave cream lasts me roughly 25 times. This equals about 5 bottles of Skintimate shave cream, at about 3 dollars a bottle this makes the shave cream cost me about 15 dollars to do the same job as one bottle of Coochy. This saves me about 3 dollars to go with Coochy.

With this cost analysis this leads the product comparison. The overall effect of Coochy is to prevent shave bumps, and keep the skin smoother longer, the sales pitch I heard. I will stand by saying that it does in fact do so. I have very thick course hair, I get razor rash and bumps easily, but when I use Coochy it does help to prevent this from occurring. I use Coochy on my legs, my bikini line, and also my underarms. It lasts longer than other shave creams and doesn’t create foam. It goes onto the skin thick and a small amount will go a long way, it goes on clear but you can smell it from the beginning. The original scent smells similar to baby powder with a slightly sweeter scent. It will gunk up your razor slightly so you have to wash it constantly when using it. I t helps by moisturizing the skin after you have used it. I occasionally will put it on my skin let it sit for a few minutes and let it soak the wash it off. You can also use it on new tattoos to help keep them bright and shiny, by the same procedure. It leave your skin feeling so soft and supple it’s hard to hate it.
Follow-up commentary
I still love my coochy shave creme, I have even branched out and purchased several other scents. I love how it keeps your skin smooth, and supple. I have found that it can become gunked up easily and this can be annoying unless you clean it off after every use. Overall I'm still very pleased with what I purchased.
