Nice Accessory-If you can get it to stick!

If you're looking for some stability in the shower, pool or hot tub then the Sex in the Shower handle is a great product for you! With a simply dual suction cup, you can attach this easily to any smooth, flat surface to help aid in stabilizing yourself during sex! You can also use this for a little added security just to have something to grasp onto in the shower. Either way, its a pretty decent product!

Use

The Sex in the Shower Dual Locking Suction handle is a handle that suctions to the shower walls. This is a fun accessory for the bathroom if you are looking for a little extra leverage or something to stabilize yourself in the shower, while having sex! This could also be used for those that just need a little extra "security" in the shower and something to grasp onto. This would be a great item to have if you need something to hold onto when shaving, if you scrub your feet while showering (this takes lifting your foot from the floor, leaving only one foot to stand on. This can be dangerous in some cases!). The size of this handle is large enough to grasp onto with both hands, and is surprisingly sturdy-IF you can get it to stick to the surface! This is not something that can be used on textured walls. Please note this before considering purchasing! You could even use this in a pool or hot tub for added support or stabilization!

Design / Craftsmanship / Material

Overall, I would have to say that the suction handle is very well made. It has a good weight to it that has a feeling of sturdiness and good quality materials. The plastic feels like a "thick plastic", not cheaply made. The handle measures in at 11 3/4 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. Which is a good amount of handle. This handle can fit both of my hands, when grasped towards the center, comfortably. It weighs 1 pound.

There are two suction cups, one on each end of the handle. They are rather thick, rubber, so you can be assured that they will stick pretty well-if you can get them to stick to your walls/doors etc.

Performance

When I received the handle, I was so excited. My husband and I have tried having sex in the shower on numerous occasions, but without any luck. It is uncomfortable for me to do so without having anything to grasp onto. With not having a mat inside our shower at the moment, that makes the "danger" of slipping and sliding or falling all that much greater.

So, when I realized that we had textured walls, I thought I was going to have a stroke. It will NOT suction to textured walls! It has to be a flat, smooth, dry surface in order for it to stick. So, I figured, well we can just keep it for when we move (we currently rent, looking to purchase our own home). So I placed in back inside the box.

My husband decided to test it out on several surfaces to see if it would stick to ANYTHING at all. The suction cups are somewhat shallow, without much room for suction, so this concerned us on its gripping capabilities. He tried it on the cabinet doors in the kitchen (wood w/ a clear coat sealant)-It stuck nicely, opened the cabinet doors with it (Which is somewhat difficult beings they have those child safe locks on the inside of the doors.) So needless to say, it stuck well to the wooden cabinets. We also tried sticking it to our kitchen well. No go. Next, I told my husband, "Look, if we get our own place, and the shower has a flat surface, it might work. Maybe try something to simulate a smooth, flat surface that might be in the shower?" So he walked over to the microwave and tried it on the front of the door. This has a glass door on it. It worked! Eureka! We could open the microwave door with the handle stuck to it, which is pretty hard to open otherwise, so we knew that this type of surface would be good. Then we tried it on the oven door. Again, it works!

So, I guess what I am trying to say is that I have NO clue how well it will hold up (in the shower) as far as weight goes. Until we get our own place with a smooth shower stall, this won't be useable for us. The suction works well though on flat, smooth surfaces, from what we can tell.

Still pretty bummed that we cannot use this item!

NOTE: We did try to apply a small amount of pressure on some of the surfaces that it did stick to, and we found that it did slip around on a few of them. So, you may want to make sure to FULLY test the strength of this handle with your weight before actually using it.

Packaging

Packaging is NOT discreet in the least. There is a photo of a couple, nude (showing breasts full view) and in the shower, on the front of the package. If you have children, family or friends or visitors that frequent your home, I suggest that you ditch the box.

Care and Maintenance

A simple cleaning with soap and water will keep this item clean. Make sure that (if you leave the handle stuck to the shower wall when not in use) that you occasionally take it down and bleach the suction cups. Mold WILL grow under the suction cups and your product will be rendered garbage. It will not take long at all for this mold to grow on it, so make sure to dry it off after use and store elsewhere.

Follow-up commentary
Well, after writing this review, we tried the handle on a few more areas to see if this thing would stick anywhere at all. We decided to try the side of the tub (just to see if it would work on porcelain) and still no-go. We attempted to stick it to our kitchen window (glass) and it stuck, until I put weight on it. Sadly, this is just not a product that I can stand behind on its claims for being a safe product to use. So, after coming to this conclusion, I have decided to give it up and cut my losses with this one. Which really stinks because hubby and I were really looking forward to this product. Back to the drawing board on making shower sex more enjoyable or feasible for us!
