Need a hand(le)?

Rub-a-dub, there'll be no relaxin' in the tub when you add this to your bath toy collection, just consider adding the footrest and possibly an additional handle to your order to truly get the most out of the Sex in the Shower line.

Sex in the Shower - Box

The Dual Locking Suction Handle from Sportsheets measures roughly 12" (30 cm) long, and is made of white and grey-green ABS/plastic. The handle has an arc shape and a spacious 5" grip-length which makes it both comfortable and easy to hold on to.

Located at both ends is a suction lockdown system (Sportsheets makes a point that they're not suction cups) which you activate by pressing the handle against the tile and flipping the levers. The only requirement is that the tile surface be smooth and at least 4" (10.16 cm) in diameter.
Sex in the Shower - Lockdown System
From my experience, I'd say that on the appropriate surface the handle can easily support up to 200 lbs. (90.72 kg), however neither the box nor the Sportsheets website has "official" weight limits listed. I guess there was no room for the info since the box sports the large "Sex in the Shower" logo and two intertwined wet naked bodies. "Easy Set-up" instructions are located on a side panel along with foreign language instructions. The inside of the box holds only the handle (in a plastic bag) and a tiny color advertisement for other items in the "Sex in the Shower" line.

Since the handle is meant for shower use it isn't that hard to keep it clean. Water-, oil- and silicone-based lubricants are all safe to use with plastic, so don't worry if some of it goes flying during the fun: it won't hurt the handle. You can keep your shower toy clean by wiping it down with liquid antibacterial soap and water after use, or if bodily fluids land on it, you can wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. The key to keeping it in top shape is to make sure it is completely dry — check the spaces between the suction lockdown system and hard plastic body! — before storing it.
Experience
Lucky for Sportsheets I got to try this in two locations otherwise it might have been a 1-star review.

The tiles in the first shower should have been a slam dunk: they were smooth and measured over 9" on the diagonal and I thought the handle would stick without problem. Instead, it slowly slid down the wall with less than half my weight on it. I tried moving it to different spots, rotating it 90°, etc., but the outcome was the same: it would not stay put. I was ready to resign it to the buyer's remorse pile, but I didn't see the harm in trying it in another shower, even if those tiles measured slightly less than 4" across (i.e. didn't quite meet Sportsheets' guidelines). À ma grande surprise, the handle stuck to the smaller tiles like it had been attached with crazy glue while supporting my weight and some of my husband's. The moral of the story? Sportsheets offers guidelines, but the only way to know if the handle will work with your shower tiles is to order it and test it.

Having more success with the smaller and more shiny tiles, I tried the handle in different spots, vertically and horizontally, and in every instance the handle's adhesion to the wall was impressive. Un-sticking it was also fairly easy as long as I remembered to flip up the levers and slipped a fingernail under the edge of the discs (to break the seal with the tile). I didn't try it on the tub since it is low, and short of needing assistance to get up and out we would never use it there.

Holding something more substantial than a curtain rod enhanced the sexual shower experience, however my husband and I quickly realized that while the handle works beautifully (on the right tile), since I am vertically challenged the handle alone doesn't get the job done. To achieve the "perfect positions" Sportsheets advertises on the box, I need a footrest and possibly another handle. Without something to boost my height, this handle is more of a pull-up bar than a pleasure accessory.

I'm encouraged enough by the quality of the product that I'm willing to order more items from the "Sex in the Shower" line and I expect that together they'll work really well, but as a stand-alone product the Dual Locking Suction Handle warrants only 3-stars for petite height ladies like me.

Thank you all for your comments. This product does seem to be hit or miss depending on the type of shower tile you have, however, when it works it's a very good product. It's worth gambling on when on sale or if you have some Eden Points to spare.
