Pucker Up!

This fabulous lip balm is worth the money. It's organic, smells wonderful, leaves your lips soft and smooth, and tastes good too. If you don't mind the odd shaped container, then everything else about this product is wonderful.
Organic, moisturizing, smells lovely.
Egg shaped container will not fit into pant pockets.

extremely useful review

EOS is a company who makes products that I adore and this strawberry sorbet lip balm is a win in my opinion. Evolution of Smooth makes products that are organic, paraban free, sulfate free, and phthalate free. I have tried their lotions and lip balms and they are high quality products. This lip balm is a product that can be worn by anyone and can be used anywhere. It is lightly scented and lightly moisturizing. As with any product you will want to check the ingredients for possible allergies.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The lip balm comes in the egg shaped container pictured above. It has a hard texture, but not too hard. I am used to lip balm coming in a tube or a pot shaped form. This one is a little strange in that the lip balm is sticking out of the container, which is why I think the texture is a little harder than I am used to. The balm goes on easily and stays in place. It has a great thickness in that it will stay on your lips, but does not feel stick or greasy. I had to reapply after an hour and it left my lips feeling softer after each application.

Ingredients: Olive oil, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Natural Flavor, Stevia Extract, Vitamin E, Sunflower Seed Oil, Blueberry Extract, Strawberry Extract, Peach Extract, and essential oil. * Organic. Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth.

Taste / Aroma

This EOS balm is available in six different scents/flavors: Sweet Mint, Honeysuckle, Summer Fruit, Tangerine, Lemon, and Strawberry Sorbet. I tried out the Strawberry Sorbet because it seemed like a good summer time lip balm. The balm smells lightly of strawberry, but is not too strong. I do not like a lip balm that smells overly strong or tastes like chemicals. This one tastes just a little bit like strawberry, but is subtle. It was something that my partner noticed while kissing, but it wasn't too powerful.

I found that the balm stayed on for about an hour before I had to reapply. It absorbs into the lips nicely and left my lips feeling smooth and moisturized. I like that the balm feels natural and smooth.

As shown above, the product comes in this egg shape, which fit nicely into the palm of my hand. It did not however, fit into my pockets on my jeans, which was a downside for me because I normally like to keep my lip balm handy in my pocket. It is something that I can throw into a handbag or a gym bag to use and because it has a locking lid, I don't have to worry about it spilling out or the lid coming off.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

The product came packaged in the egg container with plastic wrap on the outside. There was no list of ingredients on the packaging so I had to look them up on the companies website. I wish that the packaging had included that for allergy purposes.

Follow-up commentary
I love the subtle flavor and scent of this product. It is now a staple in my gym bag because it does not travel well in my pants pockets. I love the I don't have to worry about the top coming off of it.
