Scrub-A-Dub-Dub

With summer approaching it's time to exfoliate away that dry winter skin. It's tank top and sandal weather and a good time for smooth moisturized skin, but sometimes you need a little extra help. That's where this fabulous body scrub from Simply Sensual comes in. You can exfoliate with it in the shower and easily rinse it away, leaving your skin soft and moisturized.

The scrub comes in a recyclable package with a small scoop for application. The sugar scrub smells nice and worked wonders for my dry skin. This amazing scrub can be used by anyone. The label states that if irritation occurs to discontinue use. This is not a product for those who have allergies to fragrances or are bothered by strong scents.

Here's a list of ingredients: Sugar, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sunflower Seed Oil, Beeswax, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Silica, Fragrance, Aloe Vera, Chamomile Flower Extract, Vitamin C, Shea Butter, Safflower Seed Oil, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Cotton Seed Oil, Laureth-4, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Macadamia Nut Seed Oil, Ginseng Root Extract, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Steareth-20, Vitamin E, Water, Phenoxyethanol, Red 17 (CI 26100), Violet 2 (CI 60725).

The body scrub is grainy and thick like most body scrubs I've encountered. The granules in the scrub are the size and texture of sugar and were not painful on my skin at all.

It's a very thick paste that can easily be scooped out of the container with the scoop that comes with the scrub. I scooped it out with my fingers after knocking the scoop out of the shower.

This concoction has the consistency of honey. It is grainy but in a pleasant way that leaves your skin feeling massaged and invigorated. I just scrub it on in the shower and wash it off. It left my skin feeling soft and velvety. It got rid of all my dry skin after just one use.

Once it is washed off it doesn't leave any film on the skin, but it does leave some of the scent.

This scrub is not designed to be edible - so don't eat it!

The scent of the scrub is pomegranate ginger. I was a little afraid of ordering a scented body product because the last few scented products I ordered were not to my liking. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this scrub because it smells amazing.

The scent is a light floral with a hint of ginger. It was very invigorating in the shower and helped me wake up. After washing it off, it leaves a faint scent on the skin that I found to be quite pleasant.

This scrub has now been a part of my shower regimen on a few occasions - whether for my early morning shower or late at night. It easily washed off in the shower with soap and water.

A few times I rinsed it only with water so I could smell the pomegranate-ginger scent after the shower.
Rinsing only with water resulted in soft skin, and left no residue, sticky, greasy or otherwise.

The sugar crystals used here polish and exfoliate to help smooth skin. The shea butter, natural oils, vitamins, and botanical extracts work to moisturize skin. The scrub also contains jojoba seed oil and vitamin E to condition, nourish, and improve the skin surface.

I liked everything about the product and did not have any complaints about it at all.

When EdenFantasys mailed this product to me they were nice enough to put it inside a plastic bag in case the product leaked. The packaging is recyclable wherever type 1 plastics are accepted.

The container the scrub comes in did not leak when I took it to the gym. It has instructions as well as a list of ingredients on the packaging. It would make a nice gift and the packaging is nice enough to have sitting on your counter, but is not fancy. If you gave it as a gift you would want to wrap it or put it in a gift bag.

The first time I used this scrub I had some dry patches of skin. After one use it sloughed off the dry bits and made my skin feel silky and smooth. The granules were pleasant on my skin and left me feeling like I had used a loofah. They did not scratch or leave any marks on my skin like a loofah sometimes can.

I was very satisfied with Simply Sensual's body scrub. A body butter is also available from Simply Sensual and can be used after the shower to keep skin smooth and hydrated.
