Silky Smooth Hands!

The Milk Made Hand Buffer is a new staple in my handcare routine that helps to keep my paws in tip-top shape. I am always very concerned with the look of my hands and want them to be polished, moisturized, and never dry! I have problem cuticles, and the exfoliants help get rid of rough problem areas, and the oil moisturizes and prevents dryness.

Use

Milk Made Smoothing Hand Buffer is a scrub composed of sugar and various oils. This product is great for anyone who needs an intensive moisturizing and exfoliating hand treatment. I have been using my hand buffer daily and keep it at my bathroom sink. I have also used it in the bathtub while soaking. The hand buffer is wonderful for everyday use. I have sensitive skin and this scrub is not irritating to my hands, but I would not put it on any open wounds that happen to be on my hands.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Milk Made Hand Buffer is similar to a "normal" scrub with a sugar-base suspended in oils. When I use it, I take my finger and mix the two parts together, since they tend to separate. The scrub did come with a spoon to stir with, but I tried to store mine in the jar and broke it because I screwed the cap back on too tight. When the buffer is applied some will probably drip, so it is best to keep the jar over the sink while you get some on your hands.

The feeling of this buffer is so luxe and silky. I love the feeling of rubbing the scrub into my hands; it really gets the blood flowing and releases muscle tension in the hands. I like to focus on my cuticles and nails since they dry out really fast. I massage the scrub into my hands and have hot water running. When I'm finished massaging, I put my hands under the water and rub the oils into my hands as well as I can. I try to let as much oil absorb into my skin as I can. When I'm finished, I wipe my hands off with a hand towel. After I follow that ritual there doesn't seem to be much oil left on my hands, which is good since nobody likes to have greasy hands!

Taste / Aroma

I must say I'm not a huge fan of the smell of this scrub. It smells like chemical-ish berry scent. Although I don't like it very much, the scent does not stick to my hands for very long, and it doesn't cause a problem. It smells sort of cheap, or like something scented for young girls. Another thing I have noticed is that while the scent does not stick to my hands for a long time, it will stay on a towel until the towel is washed.

Performance

When I use this buffer I stir it up with my finger, and dip some out with my finger as well. I have been using it every day for a week and it doesn't seem like the level of product in the jar has changed too much. This scrub certainly isn't going to produce miracle results, but it does help at keeping my hands looking nice.

Experience

Overall, I have enjoyed using this buffer, and will continue to use it daily. It is certainly a nice addition to my hand care routine. I have seen differences in how often I need to apply hand lotion and cuticle oil.
Follow-up commentary
I still have this hand buffer on my bathroom counter. I use it every once in a while just for my hands. I have actually started using it as a substitute for baby oil to remove residue after waxing my underarms! I just scoop up a little rub it on my hands, rinse hands under some hot water, and then use the oils left on my hands to lightly coat my underarms and all the extra wax comes right off. It's an interesting alternative use!

Thank you. This looks like something I would like. Eczema has wreaked havoc on my hands this winter and I need to get them back into condition after treating with RX meds.

As long as the smell doesn't last long, I may try this.
