Ultra moisturizing shave cream - shaving foam discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by Kitka

The Ultra Moisturizing shave cream by Eos is best used to shave your legs, armpits or anywhere else you so choose. It will protect those areas from cuts and razor burn and leave them feeling moisturized. This shave cream can be used in the shower for a wet shave or a dry shave out of the shower since it will stay where you put it and won't make a mess.

Ingredients:

Water (Eau), Mineral Oil (Huile Minerale), Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Triethanolamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Glucono Delta Lactone, Sodium Benzoate, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Carbomer, Fragrance (Parfum), Disodium EDTA, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional.

The Eos shave cream is easily dispensed from the bottle and does not foam up like shave gels usually do. Instead this has a texture and consistency that is very much like hair conditioner or a thick hand lotion. This shave cream is thick and creamy, not oily or greasy at all and it easily spreads wherever you need it. It will not run or melt off and cause a mess since it stays where you want it.

This shave cream is easily wiped off after shaving with a damp cloth or you can use the shower head to rinse it off.

The Jasmine and lavender Eos shave cream smells exactly like those two flowers mixed together, but not in an overpowering floral way that's typical to some bath and beauty products.

Men may not want to shave with this particular scent but there are others to choose from: Vanilla, Pomegranate raspberry, Cucumber melon, Island blue and Unscented.

The scent of this particular shave cream reminds me of a lovely garden full of lavender and jasmine, it's that natural smelling!

This shave cream spreads easily and is thick and creamy so it really stays put. After shaving with it, washing it off was very easy, especially while in the shower. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and moisturized and the scent does linger for a while, about an hour or two.

My only complaint with this shave cream is it didn't protect me as intended from cuts but actually seemed to be worse while using it.

Those with allergies should remember to check the ingredients list and research ones you are not sure about.

The Eos shave cream came in a 7 fluid ounce purple plastic bottle with a clear plastic pop-off top that protects the white pump dispenser. It is recyclable, has some finger grip indentations on both sides and the cap stays on nice and tight so it's great for traveling with.

The front of the bottle has the Eos logo along with telling you what it is, the scent name and that you can use it wet or dry.

This shave cream does not contain phthalates, sulfates, triclosan or parabens.

I was very pleased with the overall experience of this shave cream but I did find it caused me to have more razor cuts than usual. To be fair that was probably because I hadn't shaved my legs in a while and had some ingrown hairs to deal with. The scent is awesome with this one and I found it to last for a good long while after shaving with the cream.
