The Oral Sex Candy Spray is actually something we didn't think we'd use but are happy to have been proved wrong. It's one of those products that adds more fun to an already fun pastime. Don't be fooled into thinking this is just an oral sex thing though. While it's predominantly for that, a little imagination can go a long way, so try it on your nipples, neck, lower back, mouth, etc. In fact anywhere you like to be kissed or nibbled is a great place to use this!

Fortunately as a couple, we're both blessed with being with a partner who (a) loves giving oral; and (b) already tastes great. Now that's not a brag - I'm highlighting the fact that we haven't used this as something to encourage the other person to give oral sex so I'll be honest and say that I've no idea how this would work for that. I imagine that it would probably do the trick though. If you're one of those people whose partner balks at giving oral then this is definitely worth trying to see if it makes things easier for them. It's such a great price point that it's got to be worth a go. Just be aware of the short-lasting nature of the spray and the fact that you'll need to keep reapplying it if you want the taste to stick around.

There really isn't a texture to speak of with this spray. Considering the fruit aspect, it's surprisingly non-sticky (although that could be more about the fact that it all gets licked off in no time at all!) and actually feels light when it's sprayed. It's not unlike a water mister. Sure, you'll feel it when it's being applied but it's neither uncomfortable nor intrusive. We'll say this though - we've noticed one or two reviews referring to this as a lube and that definitely hasn't been our experience. Admittedly we haven't tried using it for intercourse but the reasons for that are two-fold. Firstly I don't want anything that might make things go itchy 'down under' and secondly, it just doesn't have any sort of consistency. In our experience, this spray is purely a taste & scent thing.

The spray is available in four flavors - Raspberry, Cherry, Watermelon and Strawberry. So far we've only tried the Strawberry, but if the others are anything like this then we'll be adding them to our kitchen (I mean bedroom) soon. We weren't expecting this to taste like fresh picked strawberries (which is good, because it doesn't) but when hubby and I were discussing how to write this review we went straight back to one particular part of the name - CANDY Spray. That really sums it up well - it's the kind of strawberry taste/scent that you get with strawberry candy. Meaning that yes, it's a little artificial and sugary sweet but that doesn't mean it's unpleasant - quite the opposite. What it really means is that you'll appreciate it more if you've got a sweet tooth. Think something like strawberry bubble gum and you won't be too far off (although it's not bubbles that you'll be blowing when you spray this on!)

What might seem a little strange about this spray is that the scent is actually stronger than the taste. When we've used it for oral sex, we've found that we've had to reapply it quite a lot during the act, but when we're all finished and lying in each others arms we can still smell strawberries. You might want to go and freshen up with a little soap and water afterwards (especially if you decided to use this for a quickie somewhere!) if that's going to be a problem, but if it's not then it's great to not have to worry about being all sticky. Because this has purified water as one of its main ingredients, it pretty much just evaporates (or gets eaten up), so while you might smell like Strawberry Shortcake you won't feel like you've been rolling around in one.

One downside in the Performance department is that even if you spray this liberally the taste wears off very quickly, meaning that you're either going to have to take the bottle down under the bedsheets with you or else leave it somewhere you can easily reach. We've found that during the times we've used it together in a 69, we've had to keep passing it from one to the other. Fortunately, we're still at the point where that adds to the fun rather than being annoying!

The bottle came in nothing more than a clear plastic bag but that's no big deal. The spray itself is in a palm-sized bottle. At 4 1/2 inches high including cap and 1 1/2 inches diameter it's not huge but won't fit discreetly into a small bag. The label is a bit of a giveaway as to what this is and features a mouth with the tongue licking its lips. Add to this the white lettering reading "ORAL SEX CANDY SPRAY" together with "Great for Blow Jobs, Analingus, Cunnilingus" and you're really going to have a hard time convincing anyone that this is just a breath-freshener that you threw in your bag.

The plastic cap is a simple snap on/off job. It's secure and keeps the pump spray from being activated. It's a non-drip, no mess affair, so if you do decide to carry this around in a handbag or something (hey, who am I to judge?) then you shouldn't need to worry about accidental spills or squirts.

We found the spray to be extremely easy to use one-handed, with no drips, mess or clogging of the nozzle. We mentioned the breath-freshener idea a few lines back because despite the slightly larger size, that's exactly how it feels to use this.

Being a water-based spray means that this applies lightly, evaporates well and doesn't leave a sticky residue. The ingredients are listed as:

Glycerin,
Purified Water (Aqua),
Flavor,
Sodium Benzoate,
Potassium Sorbate,
Citric Acid

We were interested to note that the label states "No Artificial Sweeteners", "Condom and Toy Safe", "Non-Toxic" and "Non-Staining". Our experience suggests that there's no reason to doubt these statements, although we haven't tried it with condoms so YMMV. It should be noted though that there IS a warning on the label advising you to stop using this and seek medical attention if you experience a reaction. I'm sure that's pretty unlikely but it's there, nonetheless.

Also, we didn't notice tingling, numbing, cooling or warming of any sort. We haven't found anything that actually suggests it might do any of this, but you might want to bear it in mind if you're looking for a product that works that way. This spray is all about the taste and scent, nothing more (which is just what we wanted!)

While this may not qualify as a 'special feature', it's nice to be able to report that the spray itself goes a long way, despite not lasting long on the skin. It may not be evident from the pic but we've got plenty left in the bottle despite using this on maybe a dozen separate occasions (and that's with numerous re-applications each time) over the last month. In fact we haven't even got down to the label yet. What a bargain!

When it comes to our personal relationship, hubby and I have always maintained that we love each other's tastes and scents, so I was a little surprised at him suggesting this in the first place. Now I'm really glad we've bought it and will definitely buy more when this runs out. Rather than using the spray because it's needed, we use it just to add to the fun factor and it works very well for that reason alone.

This spray came so close to getting 5 stars from us. The only thing that let it down is that it's not long-lasting. Some people may see that as a good thing, but our preference would have been for something that kept its taste for longer. Other than that, it's perfect!

We've found that this spray works wonderfully for everything oral-related. Whether it's just sharing strawberry kisses or male and female oral sex or even analingus, you'll find plenty of uses for this. And here's another quick tip for those who are intrigued but enjoy your lover's natural taste - the spray is also great for spraying around erogenous zones without having to go on them directly. For example, we've found that it's sometimes fun to spray some on my pubic mound or near my tailbone - that way it's purely a scent-enhancer rather than a taste one. Perfect if you're in the mood for something a little different but still want to taste the 'real thing'.
