Not too horrified?

Wet Ecstasy is bad and cheap like all other Wet lubricants I've used. When my cooling lubricant of choice was recalled, this was the only other thing at Walmart. I regret my decision to try it! It's oily, way too thin, and leaves difficult to remove white spots wherever it drips (which is everywhere due to its thinness). The only pro is that the subtlety of its cooling effect will be more easily used by people who don't like intense effects.

Use

Wet Ecstasy is a water-based lubricant that is supposed to provide a "cooling sensation." It comes in a few different sizes. I purchased the 3.6 ounce bottle from Walmart, and it seems like the bottle might be slightly different than the one offered on EF. This can be used alone or with a partner(s). I don't recommend it for anal play because it is thin and drips out of you really easily, so it is not very long lasting. It is latex compatible. It's really thin, like all Wet brand lubes I've ever used, so if you are looking for a gel, I would not recommend this product. It contains glycerin and sodium benzoate but no parabens. It does have a couple really long ingredients.

Ingredients and directions from the package:

    • Foreplay
    • Mood enhancer
    • Sex

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

For a water-based lube, this feels pretty oily. Other reviews say the same thing, so I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I really don't like how this lube feels, and even if it worked well for me, I don't think I'd buy it again due to the ingredients and how oily and thin it is. It's pretty greasy and doesn't rub into the skin. It feels like having canola oil on you. It doesn't stay in place either, but drips out and made big white marks on my black sheet. When I washed the sheet, it was still kinda stuck there. It needs rubbed off with a finger nail and then it will come off. It's quite annoying.

It's super thin, as you can see by this picture:

    • Greasy
    • Oily
    • Thin

Taste / Aroma

Wet Ecstasy has a subtle toothpaste smell. I don't smell it during sex or anything, but if I smell the opening, that is what it smells like, and my partner has commented on it while pouring it out to use on me. I think other cooling lubes can smell minty without smelling toothpaste-y, and so I really prefer the smell of my other tingling and cooling lubes with minty smells.

I did not taste this nor do I want to due to the cooling effect. I imagine that might feel weird for the tongue.

Performance

This is very subtle and doesn't last very long. We found ourselves reapplying a lot, especially since it just drips off of you. It's really not a high quality product, and definitely not worth its price. I think this is really on par with other Wet lubes: total junk! I only bought it because my KY tingling jelly I'm obsessed with was recalled due to the company not wanting to do further tests the law required, even though there was nothing wrong with the product. Needless to say, I'm pissed, since that was my favorite product, and I've reviewed many tingling and cooling gels for EF and have not been pleased. I always go right back to that KY tingling jelly. Well, I did find a good replacement for it (review up soon for the V Cooling Gel!) but Wet Ecstasy was definitely NOT it!

It takes a long time to wash this off because of the oiliness, and when we used it I preferred to shower afterward because I felt gross. That's not what I want from a lubricant! It does provide a really subtle effect, but not much. Someone really sensitive might like this, but its other issues are just too bad to really make it still a good product.
    • Allergy concerns
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water
    • Reapply often

Packaging

It has a grip area on the side with the Wet logo on it to help lubey hands grab the bottle. It flips open and doesn't seem to leak, though the package suggests storing upright to prevent leakage. It comes in a box with directions, ingredients, the temperature to store it in, and the like. It's pretty informative, and also pretty obvious.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Not discreet
    • Very informative packaging

Special Features

Wet Ecstasy provides a cooling sensation, but it is very subtle. Some people will love this; I personally could barely feel it, so I did not really think it provided much of a sensation at all except oiliness!

Experience

I didn't like this lubricant. It didn't make it easier for me to have multiple orgasms in one session like KY Tingling Jelly (and now V Cooling Lubricant) does. It made me frustrated because it didn't work! I could tell there was something different, but I found myself thinking more about whether it was working and why it wasn't cooling than about sex, which is distracting and frustrating. My partner and I only purchased this because our cooling lubricant of choice was recalled, and I had a feeling I would regret it. I have never liked any products by Wet, but there were some reviews that really praised this, so I decided to give it a go. I will be very firm in the future in that I do not purchase Wet products anymore, because they just are not good. This dripped off of me in seconds and went all over the sheet, which then had white spots all over it wherever we moved on the bed, it was too thin, it was way too subtle, and it was incredibly oily feeling despite being a water based lubricant. This really did not have any redeeming qualities aside from that I guess there was a bit of a subtle cooling feeling but definitely not enough for me. I will give this 2 stars since someone who likes more subtle feelings might feel better about this, and I do admit I need a really intense cooling or tingling lube to be satisfied.

I can't imagine what they must have done to a water-based lube to make it feel oily!
