Use

This is a water based lube, that can be used while you are alone or with a partner. This is for men and women. The blue is yours. The purple is mine. Yours seems much more like a warming and mine seems to be cooling. The sparks are supposed to fly when you put them together. Actually, you do get a tingling sensation on your clitoris when they mixed. This is to be used with latex condoms only, and can be used with toys. I have no idea why it can only be used with latex condoms but the label says so.

Texture/Consistency/Thickness

This is a smooth, silky lube. It is thicker than water but thinner than liquid hand soap. It is slippery, it doesn’t feel sticky initially but with heat and friction it begins to get tacky. This lube can mess up your sheets. After sleeping with it on me from the night before, it did seem to leave that film that is icky and needs to be washed off.

Taste/Aroma

The original [italics|Yours and Mine] doesn’t have a taste per say. Mine has a slightly minty taste to it. Yours tastes like chemicals. As the scent goes, Mine smells like an after dinner mint. KY did come out with another version of these lubes that is much better. Yours is strawberry and Mine is chocolate. They actually taste very good and have great smells. I like the strawberry smell on my husbands mustache after oral sessions.

This list of ingredients seems somewhat concerning.(I will admit that I didn’t pay attention before writing the review). There are several ingredients that can cause allergic reactions; honey, sucralose, methyl, and glycerin. Glycerin can cause UTI’s and Yeast infections and I am sure that the honey could do the same. Parabens are additives that help to control growth of bacteria and fungus in cosmetic products and extremely high levels parabens can possibly be linked to cancer.

Performance

A drop or two on you and a drop or two on me. Get together and get tingly. This lube really does work this way. Because of the taste issue, with the original formula I wouldn’t suggest it for oral play. I found that we needed to reapply the product after a prolonged session of lovemaking. I feel that the menthol had a burning sensation when it got near to my anus so I wouldn’t suggest it for anal play.

To me, I felt that this stuff gets sticky and leaves the film that requires showering. I am on the search for the perfect lube. This isn’t it but it is not the worst contender. The tingling sensations are good.

Packaging

The Yours and Mine actually have some cool packaging. It comes in a multi-colored box with Yours and Mine boldly written across the top. This is not discrete by any means. Anyone who has seen the commercials know what this is for. Each of these lubes come in a 1.5 ounce test tube. They have a flip top cap. You squeeze the tube to get the desired amount. You only need a few drops and the plastic of the tubes is quite strong. I could see someone with arthritis having an issue. The rounded test tube type bottoms means that this has to lie on its side for storage. Honestly I have had these laying around my room for years and haven’t had any issues with any leakage. The two test tubes are connected to each other with a “clip” that has two holes for them to slide in and out of. One package I used had a white one and the current one I own has a black one.

The label states his "excites". Hers "delights", together feel them ignite.

As I mentioned earlier in the review, I have had this product for years and have had no problems using it. Now, reading the ingredients I am slightly concerned. I won't throw it away but at least I know. I have gained so much knowledge since coming to Eden and I have been searching for the perfect lube. The Yours and Mine does get slightly sticky and leaves a film. I wouldn't use this for anal as I got a burning sensation when the lube even got close to my anus. I do enjoy the tingling sensations and the flavors of the new version. I don't see me replacing this product, when it is gone. My husband also liked to insert the tubes for vaginal penetration at times even though it's hard plastic!!!

Honestly since coming to Eden and being educated about lubes, The KY product just doesn't measure up and It has the most awful ingredients. I can see why people who are inexperienced and use this product end up with issues such as UTI's and Yeast infections and they think that all lubes are bad! Education is power!
