Vintage Rose babydoll and g-string - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by Airen Wolf

I love Coquette, mainly because they see me as an XL rather than a 1X or even 3X-4X! I know it's vanity but I still appreciate it. I also love the styles and fabric choices of Coquette lingerie. The Vintage Rose Babydoll is a prime example of what I love about the company's choices.

This is a babydoll that can be worn strapless and the bodice is heavier than it looks in the pictures. If you are at the lower end of the sizing chart order a size down because the bodice doesn't conform to your rib cage so you need to be able to fill the cups or it just doesn't look right.

This is a picture of the babydoll with the straps, which are removable. I prefer it with the straps because I have one breast significantly larger than the other so if I breathe out the thing can fall off of me. The straps add a measure of comfort for me.

The babydoll is softly feminine and drapes amazingly well over my belly and hips. It shows my lovely waist and draws the eye up to my chest. The color looks amazing with my peach color skin tone. I am five foot and the skirt hits me at my upper thigh though if I didn't have "baby belly" it might be a bit longer.

I love the color and fit of the babydoll but I do have two points of contention. There is a little bow pinned to the underbust that looks tired and droopy.

I took some spray on starch and ironed it into the bow lace and it perked right up. It is also very easy to simply remove the pin and add an embellishment of your own.

Usually I have no complaints about the stitching on my Coquette purchases but this one had a glaringly bad seam and a loose string that was very easy to spot so I would caution Coquette to beef up the quality control.


Right, so I gave two thumbs down sort of comments but let me show you why i still love this babydoll even though it has two imperfections. Look at this lace:

Gorgeous right? Yes, yes it is.

One other really amazing thing i'd like to mention about this line: Coquette has partnered with Save the Ta-ta's and will donate a percentage of the proceeds of the Spring/Summer line directly to breast cancer research. Just another really GREAT reason to purchase this amazing line of lingerie.
