Lace and mesh babydoll with g-string - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by TameTemptress

I have had this in my wish list for awhile now. It seems to be very popular and kept going out of stock in my size. I finally got my hands on this sweet and sexy little number a few weeks ago, though, and so glad I did!

This set comes with a babydoll and matching thong. The babydoll is really where it's at with this set, so I'll talk about that first. The babydoll is mostly black, with hot pink lace accents, trim and ribbon details. The pink is very bold in person, at least to me. I'm used to my pink lingerie being a bit more understated. This pink really POPS, especially against the black. Personally, I adore the combination of pink and black. The babydoll features a halter top that ties with ribbon, as well as hook and eye closure in the back. Under the hook and eye closure is a cut out area to showcase your back. It's a little shorter than I would like, but covers my belly which is my most self conscious area. I do wish this were available in more of a chemise length. There are two layers of black mesh fabric, that are sheer individually, but provide plenty of coverage together and a figure flattering silhouette. Each layer has a pink trim and one is a bit shorter than the other.

I'm not really a huge fan of the halter having ribbon ties in the back. It's hard to get the right fit for me, with holding the garment up where I feel it "should" be, and also having it be comfortable. I'd also prefer that there be a ribbon tie in the back instead of a hook and eye closure, as that would give it even more adjustability. Due to the fit on me, I only wear this for play time. It's not really suitable for sleeping in.

The cups are molded with light padding/thick lining.

The included thong, is black, with matching pink lace in the front. It's really cute, and I love that it matches the babydoll so perfectly. It does ride a bit low for my tastes and felt a little awkward as I'm not used to that. As cute as they are, I just couldn't get used to how low rise they are and I prefer to wear a different thong or pair of panties with the babydoll.

I purchased the 1x2x, which was admittedly too big for me according to the size chart, however I usually feel that Coquette runs a bit small. My measurements are 44" (38" band size), 36, 44". This fit me pretty well everywhere except for the breasts. I have a full B cup, and the 1x2x is probably much better suited for the D cup that the size chart suggests. My girls were drowning in fabric! It's usually hit or miss which fits me better, an XL or 1x2x and the problems are usually in the hips or the breasts. I think I need to get better acquainted with my sewing machine! I'm going to venture to say that the babydoll runs big, and the panties are true to size. I'd need to compare to the XL to be sure, and I might end up ordering the XL one of these days just to see for myself if the babydoll fits better.

Coquette suggests hand washing this set, and I have followed their instructions. After a few wears/washings, it still looks perfect.

I want to give this three stars because of how it fits me, but that really is my fault for sizing up. It's a gorgeous babydoll, you just need to keep the sizing in mind and maybe size down if you're not sure.

I wish this was available a little bit longer...more like a chemise than a babydoll, but I still really like it. It's cute and flirty!
