This is a simple pair of female panties. They are a smooth, semi-shiny, very stretchy material (80% nylon and 20% spandex). It reminds us of very light bathing suit material. When you are wearing these, they are completely opaque but if you hold them up to the light, you can see through them.

One big disappointment is that there is no cotton crotch liner. There is a small, diamond shaped liner that is tacked (not sewn) into the crotch but it feels like the same material the entire panty is made from. I have read that it is very important to wear panties with a cotton liner to help prevent vaginal infections. The cotton allows air to pass and prevents unwanted bacteria from flourishing.

The size we ordered is XL, but is also referred to as plus one size. They will fit a wide range of hips (they ride low on the hips and do not reach the waist). Unlike most panties, these have a short leg, more like fitted men's boxer shorts. The smallest hip that these would fit (our estimate) is 40" and the largest is 45" (again, our estimate).

There is no elastic hip band or elastic leg band. It would have been nice if Coquette had included an elastic waist because these do not stay in place very well. We do not suggest wearing these under a skirt, unless you want to find these around your ankles at a not wanted time!! Worn under pants, these will still slide but at least you are wearing the pants to hold up these things!

If you must wear these under a skirt or dress, please wear a pair of pantyhose or another pair of panties over these booty shorts. Actually, just don't wear these. Wait another minute--just save your money and don't buy these. Go to your local chain and buy a pack of 3 for $12. You'll get a better deal and a better pair of panties. In fact, you'll get three better pairs!

These are pretty comfortable but the fit is still off a little. If you are wearing them because you wear pantys every day, these will fit the bill. I don't think they are something to be worn to give your partner a special thrill.
