A Million Reasons Why This Pink Beast Beats the Hitachi.

Ok, maybe not a million reasons, but quite a few. I’ve always lusted after wands because of their power. I love power and generally need my toys very powerful to get off. I first tried the infamous Hitachi. I really loved the power. However, it was way to bulky and the head was too big for stimulation on my clit. I was on the hunt for a wand with the same power, but much smaller. I stumbled across the California Exotic’s Couture Pink Inspire, AKA the pink beast. I’m so glad I did! If you’re looking for a small and powerful wand, this is it. Since I own both wands, I’ll do a general comparison for all you Edenites.

Wands are great if you seek a REALLY strong vibrator. Since most wands use an electrical outlet, they are the most powerful toys out there. Wands can be used for general massage over the body, but feel especially great on your clitoris. They aren’t suitable for any kind of internal use (unless you use one of the attachments of course). So don’t stick this up your vagina or anus unless there’s some sort of attachment. Wands are suitable for any user, unless you are extremely sensitive to power.

I’m so glad I tried out this wand. It’s perfect for what I was looking for. If you have the Hitachi and are looking for a smaller more concentrated option, try out the Couture Pink Inspire.

The Couture Pink Inspire is made out of PU Coated Plastic and Silicone. Because of the plastic, it rates a total of seven out of ten on Eden Fantasy’s Safety Scale. However, the attachments are one of the safest materials you can play with rating a ten out of ten. Silicone can be sterilized by boiling it in water. You can even place it in the dishwasher.

The silicone attachments included with the wand are pink. They are all smooth to the touch with no texture or smell. Although most silicone toys tend to attract lint or hair, this one doesn’t. Some of the attachments have seams, but they are not noticeable during use. There is a slight drag to each cap so be sure to use a lubricant. Each of the attachments are flexible making them very easy to use.

The Hitachi’s head is made out of plastic. I found Couture’s silicone to be much more comfortable on my clit. It wasn’t as irritating for me, which is a big plus.

The Couture Pink Inspire is very nice and small. It is only 7 and ½” in length. It’s only a little longer than my hand. It is in shades of pink, so if you dislike the color this may not be for you. But, I promise it delivers!



I am absolutely in love with this toy because of its smaller size. In comparison, the Hitachi is 12 inches in length and much bulkier. The Couture is much easier to maneuver, with less to move around. You could certainly travel with this wand if you wish. The other great thing is that the Couture is much lighter. This is great during use. The Couture is only 1 pound, while the Hitachi is at least double that.



My next favorite thing is the size of their heads. The Hitachi is the size of a tennis ball, the Couture is much smaller. It reminds me of a baby size tennis ball for small dogs. It’s comparable to a ping pong ball. Here they are compared side by side. I love the smaller size because it allows me to pinpoint stimulation on my clit. The Couture’s head has a circumference of 4 ¾” and a diameter of 1 ½”.



Both the Hitachi and Couture’s heads sit on a little springy area that lets you bend and move the head a bit. Both are easy to bend. Here is the Couture’s head slightly bent.



Each attachment offers a different experience. There’s the dome cap, the triple teaser, and the dual exciter. The Dome cap is simple, just a cap to cover the head of the toy. This is my favorite attachment because it offers the most power to whatever area you please. Next you have the dual exciter. You can use this however you want, but I find it great on the clit. The triple teaser is designed to stimulate all three areas. Insert the big bulb vaginally, and the two little flaps stimulate your anus and clit. As I mentioned, they are fairly flexible. The Couture, like the Hitachi is powered by an electrical outlet. I personally like this feature, but some may not. Both cords are very long. The Couture’s wire is slightly longer than the Hitachi’s. Unlike the Hitachi, Couture’s wire can be removed. I love this feature because it makes cleaning much easier and safer. I feel more reassured that I won’t damage anything. The Couture’s wire attaches to the bottom of the wand.

Before you operate your Couture, you must correctly attach one of the heads. You can’t just put the heads on; you have to look to make sure you are doing so correctly. On the head of the toy, one side has a T like marking. Match this part with the same T on the attachment. This T ensures that the attachment is well attached. It won’t fall off or get fluid underneath the cap.



To operate the Couture, simply hold down the button to your desired setting. The Hitachi only allows two settings: low and high. I love that you can select your desired speed with the Couture. The Hitachi’s low setting was at times too much for me and I wished I could lower the speed. Well, with the Couture you can adjust it to any speed you wish. To turn the Couture off, simply tap the button. Remember, holding it down increases the speed while tapping it fast turns it off. At the bottom of the Couture, there is a red light that comes on once you plug it in.

This baby is strong! It’s as powerful as the Hitachi if not more. Since you can choose a desired setting, you can start out fairly low. However, I still only recommend the wand if you are looking for POWER in a toy. This is definitely for power queens. The Couture can be quite loud, but not as loud as the Hitachi.

First, be sure to unplug the Couture Pink Inspire right after use and right before cleaning it. The best way to clean the wand is to use a wipe. First, remove the silicone attachment and wipe the wand down. Since the heads are removable, you can wash them in soap and water. They can even be sterilized by boiling in water for a few minutes. I love that the heads are removable. It makes cleaning a whole lot easier.

Since the heads are silicone, be sure to not use a silicone based lubricant. I stick to a water based lube. The Couture can be stored however you like, I store mine in a baggy with all its attachments.

The Couture Pink Inspire came in a plastic see through package. It isn’t discreet as there’s writing all over it. You could keep it for storage, but I just recycled mine. It comes with its AC adapter, massager, and three attachments. Here is everything pictured.



It also comes with a small informational sheet. It lists general no brainers like don’t put this in or around water, only use the included adapter, unplug it when not in use, and right before cleaning. It also suggests that you only use the wand for 5 to 25 minutes, as it can get hot after a while. My favorite line is “use conmen sense when using this product”. I sure hope so! There is certainly enough information for any user.

So, I’ve already pointed out many times why the Couture is superior to the Hitachi. Here are all my reasons in one spot. The Couture is: smaller, cuter, not as bulky, includes attachments, as powerful, has more settings, cord is longer and removable, head is smaller (ideal for pinpoint stimulation). It’s not as heavy or bulky making it travel friendly. The only negative thing about the Couture is that it is a bit more expensive than the Hitachi. However, it is well worth it in my opinion. There are lots of attachments. There’s even more not included: the G-spot attachment and the Double Trouble attachment. Both are really inexpensive. After having said all that, the Hitachi is legendary for a reason. I have found I prefer the Couture for my clit and the Hitachi for my muscles.
