7 function wireless remote egg - egg discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by The scientist

A wireless remote egg went on my wishlist as soon as I learned of their existence. What could be better than passing control of your pleasure over to your partner discreetly? Unfortunately this toy had me disappointed from the start. I knew as soon as I inserted it that it would never get me to climax on its own as I had hoped it would.

As several other reviewers have mentioned, the toy has a silky smooth exterior and easy-to-use controls. The egg itself is hard plastic with a velvety coating and has no ‘give’. The circumference of this toy is 4.5 inches and would be suitable for both beginning and experienced users. It’s large enough to be comfortable when ‘worn’ in public, but not so large as to necessitate lube for insertion.

The remote is small enough that the egg can be used in public discreetly, and fits easily inside a pocket or the palm of your hand. There is no on/off switch on the egg itself, you are instead left to the mercy of the remote holder! The egg has several functions (3 levels of vibration and 4 rhythms) to choose from and the remote has a range of about 20ft. My partner and I used this on a date night! It was very discreet and allowed a lovely amount of sexual tension to build between us through the night.

The functions on the egg range from low vibration to rhythms, but since there is only one button on the remote you have to cycle though them all to find the one you want. This toy is an absolute battery guzzler and takes 6 watch batteries (costing around $25). IF this toy had stronger vibrations I would be willing to disregard the battery type, but alas.

This toy was quiet when inserted. I would probably not wear it if I were sitting in a booth next to someone though, lest they think my cell phone is vibrating all through dinner. In a normal restaurant setting, or certainly in a movie or party situation, it would never be heard.

This toy is easy to clean with soap and water, though there is a crevice where the batteries are inserted. I wiped the threads of each half of the egg carefully with a damp paper towel. It's kind of a pain.

As soon as this toy arrived my partner and I took it for a test drive. Without letting him know, I wore it to dinner and a movie. On the way to dinner I slipped him the remote and briefly explained what it controlled (I highly recommend this surprise tactic). When we arrived at dinner, my partner waited until our drinks had arrived to start playing with the functions of the egg. It was startling at first, having no warning whatsoever, but the impish grin on his face made it totally worthwhile. The vibrations were weak--- enough that I could feel them, but little more than that.

I was mildly aroused by the vibrations of the egg but I was extremely aroused by my partner's reaction.

The movie was a similar success. His mind ran wild with the sensations I was supposedly feeling, and my crotch buzzed away unsatisfactorily. He remembers NONE of the movie, and asks about the remote egg fairly often, wanting to take it for another spin. I would rather wait and try a higher quality model that WILL have me squirming in my seat!

Another note on that evening--- we killed the batteries THAT NIGHT and boy are they expensive! This was a great toy for extended foreplay for us. It put sex on our brains and kept it there for an entire evening. I suppose I am just looking for a little more action from a wireless remote egg.
