Cute, functional and pricey.

I like this egg, but I'm not loving it. It has some very nice vibrations, I just wish that they were a little bit stronger. Also the batteries for this thing are expensive. The egg and remote both have a nice texture and are great for discrete public play ;). Overall the 7 Function Wireless Egg is a good high quality toy, it just has a few glitches.

Use

The egg, itself, is waterproof so it can used to stimulate the clitoris and it can also be inserted for some hands free fun. Since the remote works up to twenty feet away you can give it to your partner or just keep it for yourself if you prefer solo play.

I personaly like to let my partner have control over the egg. Its adds a nice hint of mystery; "Is he going to turn it on now?", "What level will he stop on?"... With the discrete sound we can use it when we go out, and no one will know about it.

This toy is good for both beginners, experts, and anyone else in between.

Material / Texture

Both the egg and remote are covered in plastic, which makes for easy cleaning. When you pull it out of the box there is no smell or taste. The plastic is very smooth and non porous; the only crease in the egg is where the top and bottom screw together. The plastic texture makes this egg good for both beginners and advanced users. However if you are looking for some added stimulation your not going to find it here. :(
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this egg is very nice. The egg itself is completely smooth; there is a plastic covering where the cord enters the egg which makes for a comfortable removal of the egg, unlike some other eggs that have a metal clasp.

I really like the fact that, when inserted, it has a very full feeling. With a circumference of only four and a half inches I didn't think it could feel that way; I initially thought that it might be too small for my liking, guess I was wrong. :) All of the vibrations in the egg are evenly centered. The batteries for the egg are housed in the middle of it, simply unscrew the top off and insert the six watch batteries (included). The box tells you how to insert them.

Now as far as the remote goes... The remote has a very cute, and yet functional design. It has a slight curve to the left, which helps it to fit nicely in the palm of your hand. I have small hands and it is hard to find an item that I can hold on to easily without a lot of hassle. On the remote there are two buttons one that says "On/Off" and one that says "7". Of course the "On/Off" button is your power button (duh rite); the "7" button is to cycle through the seven settings. There is no back button so if you wish to return to a previous vibration you have to cycle all the way through it. The remote is powered by one 23A 12 volt battery (included) that does not last very long. I have had my egg for a month and it has already died and I haven't played with it much (two to three times a week, if that).

Before using it I sat down and measured it, and here is what I got:

Egg:

Circumference: 4 1/2 inches
Length (egg): 2 1/2 inches
Length(cord): 3 inches
Total length: 6 1/2 inches

Remote:

Length (remote): 2 1/2 inches
Length (cord): 2 3/4 inches (w/o the hook)
Length (cord): 3 3/4 inches (with the hook)

The egg is not very discreet comes in a plastic see through box with the name written in pink on the top. All of the batteries are included and their instructions for installation are on the box.

Functions / Performance / Controls

As far as the performance of the egg goes the vibrations are not very strong. There are seven different settings (3 steady and 4 patterns), each one getting a little bit stronger.

Levels Of Pleasure

Steady

Level 1 - is a steady low vibration.
Level 2 - is a steady medium vibration.
Level 3 - is a steady high vibration.

Patterns

Level 4 - cycles from low to high.
Level 5 - starts pulsating.
Level 6 - pulsates a little bit faster.
Level 7 - has two short and one long pulsations. (.._.._.._..)

With only two buttons the remote is very easy to use; however if you wish to return to a previous setting you have to cycle through all of them. I love how the remote is wireless, which allows for some fun not only in the bedroom, but also outside of it. When inserted you can not hear the vibrations. And when holding it outside of the body the vibrations are still very quiet. The egg is waterproof, and performs great when wet. However the remote is NOT waterproof so keep it out of the shower.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

Cleaning both the egg and remote is a snap.

To clean the egg you can choose to use either mild soap and water, or sanitary wipes. If using soap and water you can hold it under the water and then rub it down with the soap, make sure to towel dry it when your finished. But if you choose to wipe it down a wipe, simply wipe it down and through the wipe away. Also make sure to open up the egg and get in the crease, to prevent any bacteria from hanging around too long.

To clean the remote I would recommend using a wipe. Since the remote is not waterproof placing it under running water is not a good idea. Just wipe it down with a sanitary wipe and through the wipe away. You could also use a washcloth just make sure that you ring it out real good.

See it's as easy as 1,2,3!! :)

Storage

Make sure to store both the egg and the remote so that nothing heavy or even slightly heavy sits on top of it. If the remote gets turned on the chances of you hearing it vibrate are really low. And you don't want to let the batteries run down. Mine did and I had to go Radio Shack and get the replacements; 6 watch batteries for $25 and 2 23A batteries for $5. Also make sure that wherever you choose to store them is dry and not humid.

Follow-up commentary
Sadly my wireless egg has not had much use since my review. The main reason is the price of the batteries. I can't justify paying over half the price of the toy in batteries. Also the vibrations are fair but nothing AMAIZING. It's a good beginner item but just besure to remove the batteries when your not using it. Becuse if not the egg and remote will DRAIN the life out of them in about 1-3 days. It's a sad ending to an overall fair toy. So I am on the lookout for something to replace it, or at least to mix things up.
