It's so easy to be green.

There is no doubt, the LELO Liv is an investment for most people. But its exceptional design and quality will not disappoint, and its rechargeabilty will save on the cost of batteries. That and its delicious lime green color makes it impossible for me to not recommend.

extremely useful review
I have a confession to make. You know when some reviewers refer to their toys with female pronouns like she and her? This really bothered me, was slightly creepy to me for reasons unknown. Then I met Liv. Luscious Lime Green Liv. And well, she's so gorgeous, I can't not call her a she. In fact, after I got her out of the box, I just sat there holding her and grinning. Yes, dammit, I have a crush on a vibrator. Don't judge me!

Even the packaging is beautiful. I am a graphic designer so the well-designed packaging, logo, and even the instruction manual got me a little hot. (Yes, I geek out on these things, I said don't judge me!) Normally, I would take a bunch of pictures, but I am out of batteries for my camera, which has stopped liking rechargeables for some reason. Fear not however, the photos here at EF are excellent and even include a look at the packaging.

The first thing you need to prepare yourself for is the 2 hour charging time required before the Liv is ready to go. I knew this before I got it and yet, disappointed because I was excited to try it out.

At 4 1/2 inches insertable and 1 1/8 inches diameter, Liv is not the largest of toys. The insertable end is made of matte silicone and the other end is plastic. Silicone is non-porous and phthalates free. It should not be used with silicone based lube. It can be cleaned with water and antibacterial soap, but the owner's manual recommends avoiding submersion or exposure of the DC socket or controls to water. Also, the manual says never to use cleansers containing alcohol, petrol or acetone. Because of these recommendations, while silicone is normally a boilable material, the overall design of the Liv prevents the ability to sterilize it. Those who plan to share the Liv should keep this in mind and use condoms or toy covers when sharing.

This toy is also available in hot pink and navy blue. Until they released the lime green, I had been lusting for the navy blue. But this shade of green is my absolute favorite color, and you never see toys in this color. They might as well have named this model Laurel's Liv, because it was a forgone conclusion I would own it. And love it.

This particular sort of vibrator is exactly what my clit loves. It's thuddy and intense, in a way that makes even its lowest settings strong enough for me. At the same time, it's not so intense that it will bother a more sensitive clit. This makes me think it's suitable for just about anyone. With the 5 stimulation modes offering a variety of ways to play, it's never boring and never has to be the same thing twice.
Experience
The Liv has taken over as my favorite toy. I love the look, I love the feel, I love that I don't have to make sure I've got batteries on hand that will work with it. Was it expensive, yes. But given all it has to offer, I do not feel it was money wasted.

When you buy your basic cheap bullet toy, you expect it to fail, and since you paid virtually nothing for it, you don't mind so much that you have to replace it. After years of being a vibrator user, I've come to accept this as the way things are. With the LELO Liv, I have found a product that would surprise me if it failed. I expect it to live up to the obvious appearance of quality and you know, even if it broke tomorrow, I'd still just be happy to stare at it in all its lime green glory. :D

At some point, I will stop playing with my clit and get around to trying Liv as a g-spot toy. I will do a follow up and report back on it's performance as an insertable.
Follow-up commentary
Liv is still one of my favorite toys. I love the vibration patterns and the fact that I don't need to replace the batteries. One thing I have found is that I have to make absolutely sure I have turned her off completely. More than once I have gone to use what I thought was a mostly charged toy and found it completely drained of power. It really, REALLY sucks when that happens. :(

My only real dilemma is which LELO toy to try next!
