Not Bad For A Luxury Toy

This toy screams luxury from it's beautiful deep fuchsia color to it's slender curves. This is a rechargeable toy with a pretty unique plug in feature. With it's dual motors and high grade materials despite being quite pricey, the Vr2 is well worth the cost. Beginners or old hands there is something here for every user.

Use

The Vr2 is a dual motor vibrator that can be used to provide firm, direct, pin-point pressure to the G spot or turned over to provide less intense pressure from it's elegantly curved head. The neck is highly flexible but not floppy so the user can easily direct how much pressure is applied to the walls of the vagina.

The 'handle' of the toy houses the second motor and can be used as a great clitoral stimulator or if you prefer, a thrusting toy with a bit more girth. This toy can be used to stimulate a wide variety of erogenous zones such as the nipples, perineum, lips, neck, penis, scrotum, and anal rim. The toy lacks any sort of flaring which would make it safe as an insertable anal toy.

The Vr2 is luxury priced but perfect for a new toy user as it is very intuitive and shuts off easily. I has much to offer the more experienced user as well! The Vr2 is whisper quiet and waterproof making it perfect for dorm room living, apartment dwelling or for those users who share their house with inquisitive little folk.

This toy is perfect for solo play but can also be easily incorporated into partnered play.

The Vr2 is elegant and lovely to look at so it won't raise too many eyebrows if found in your luggage or in your hotel room.

Material / Texture

The Vr2 by JOpen is composed of food-grade hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free silicone. It has no discernible fragrance or taste. The silicone is matte and has lots of drag to it, so if the user prefers a more silky ride a drop or two of water based lube is recommended.

The vibe is smooth and without texture, it feels silky. There is a seam that runs the length of the toy on both sides that can be felt by the fingers but not by the vaginal walls. It doesn't collect dirt and doesn't ruin the water proof nature of the toy. It does seem to make the toy look cheaper than it would if it were not there.
The only other raised portion on the entire toy is on the back under the plug in port. It can barely be read and cannot be felt internally.

The head of the toy is curved to make g spot play easy. The head comes to a point that is a gentle curve rather than a hard point. Whether applying firm pressure to the G spot or thrusting the toy the user will not cause discomfort or bruising. The toy is long enough to reach the back wall of the average vagina meaning it could touch the cervix so for women who are sensitive some care should be taken despite the gentleness of the curves. The neck of the toy is extremely flexible but not floppy so it ca be used to apply pretty intense pressure to the G spot or very gentle pressure. The head can also be rotated so that the back curve rests against the g spot for users who like broader coverage.

The mate silicone does pick up lint so a quick rinse before use is pretty much a necessity. It is completely waterproof, however, so it CAN be a really quick rinse.

The Vr2 would be excellent for a new toy user despite its hefty price tag. For the more experienced user it offers lovely silicone that is silky when lubed but has some drag if that is the preferred texture. There is nothing intimidating or scary about this lovely, graceful curving toy.

Design / Shape / Size

I absolutely love the design of the Vr2. It is graceful, visually appealing and not intimidating at all. This is a small toy meant to grace a bedside table and it looks perfectly at home there!

The toy measures 7 inches in total length meaning this isn't exactly a short toy that doesn't offer proper space for your hands. The head of the toy measures almost 4 inches around at its widest point but it follows a lovely graceful curve so it doesn't feel large when inserted. The head curves to allow either pin-point g spot stimulation or a wider, blunt area. The first motor is located here, in the head of the toy. From the head of the toy the shaft gracefully curves into a flexible neck that carries the vibration of either motor or the combination, if you are using both simultaneously. This provides a unique sensation to the opening of the vagina that is quite pleasurable. At the base of the backside of the neck of the toy is the plug in port for charging the toy. I was concerned about this being a possible entry point for moisture but it closes completely when the plug is removed. After repeated testing I am able to confirm that the toy is completely waterproof and even when submerged there is no evidence that the port will leak.

The base of the toy flares out to a moderate 5 inches, approximately, and houses the second motor. It can function as a vibrator in its own right or be angled up to stimulate the clitoris if you have a shallow G spot. It can also be used by female bodied players simultaneously though it is a bit on the short side.

The controls are located on the front of the handle and are simple raised, silicone covered buttons. They are easy to reach during play but not so easy that it will change speeds or turn off during play. Overall the size of the toy is pretty moderate and easy to store discreetly. It looks smaller than it really is and gives the impression that it is more user friendly. It has an elegant look to it that makes it more suitable for travel than the more anatomically correct vibrators/dongs.

It doesn't require batteries and can be stored in it's elegant, black cloth bag. The bag is very much larger than the toy and is a simple design. It is a draw string type bag with the logo JOpen in white at the bottom of the front of the bag. The bag can hold the toy, charger and little instruction booklet.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Vr2 is a bit more basic in its functions than I have come to expect in a luxury vibrator. It offers two motors located in the head and the base of the toy, respectively. These motors offer only straight vibration without any patterns. The vibrations begin when you press the corresponding button and hold.

The vibrations in the head of the toy begin at a light but very buzzy vibration and this speed increases but the vigorousness of the vibrations don't. What you end up with is a very high speed vibration that is incredibly buzzy and high pitched. The vibrations are most easily felt in the 'nose' of the toy but carry to the base quite easily. It doesn't have much in terms of power but it can make your clit numb. It is easily felt on the G spot, however, which elevated my estimation of the head of the toy. Even at high speed the head motor is whisper quiet, quieter than a cell phone.

The vibrations in the base of the toy begin at a deeper more powerful vibration. It is more vigorous but still surface and buzzy rather than deep and throbbing. At it's maximum it is powerful enough to please my clit without burning it and making it numb. It is most easily felt in the very tip of the base but also carry throughout the toy. It can make the palm of your hand tingle so if you are sensitive to these sensations be warned. The motor in the base of the toy is louder than the head motor but also more powerful. It is still not loud enough to be heard outside a closed door, in fact I don't have a door on my bedroom right now and no one in the apartment was alerted to my play time.

It is possible to use both motors simultaneously and I don't notice any significant decrease in the power of either motor when they are used together. I also haven't noticed any significant draining of the battery when both motors are used.

The neck of the toy is flexible enough to allow you to curve the toy upwards to reach the clitoris while the head of the toy is inserted. It will also curve quite nicely around a penis and scrotum.

The controls are located on the handle of the toy and are highly intuitive. Simply hold the button down and select the speed you prefer, a firm but direct push turns the toy off. It cannot be bumped and turned off which is a plus. The Red LCD light blinks rapidly while you are moving through the various speeds and then stops blinking when you reach maximum speed.

The Vr2 causes some concern about it's waterproofness because it has a plug in port rather than a magnetic charging system. I have found no evidence that the port allows any moisture into the internal portion of the toy. I have used it in the shower, tub and submerged the toy in the sink during cleaning. As far as I can tell there was zero leakage and the port sealed completely when the plug was removed.

The toy requires a 3 hour initial charge and the user is warned not to charge the toy near water. I have yet to actually run the battery low after the initial charge. I am told it would give approximately 6 to 8 hours of play on a single charge but I have gotten significantly more. The red LCD light shines while it is charging and turns off when it is done. I am unsure if one can overcharge this battery, but it makes more ecological sense to unplug it when it is done charging. One can lock the toy for travel by holding both buttons down simultaneously for approximately 4 seconds. The red LCD lights shut off when the toy is locked, to unlock simple repeat the process. This makes the toy amazing for travel!

Care and Maintenance

This toy is 100% silicone so it is very easy to clean. The care booklet that comes with the Vr2 states that warm water and mild soap is all you ever need, but you could use a 10% bleach and water solution if you feel you need to. You wouldn't want to use the dishwasher or boil the toy because it could damage the motors.

The Vr2 comes with a roomy pouch for storage and I recommend using it as the thing is a lint magnet! It is high grade silicone and firm so it is unlikely it would have a chemical reaction when exposed to other silicone toys unless they were very soft ones. Likewise it is unlikely it would react to a good quality silicone lube, but for the price of the toy one might feel foolish to risk it. I have spot tested most of my silicone lubes and some of my combination silicone/water lubes and none have caused any change in the surface of the toy. There really isn't a truly inconspicuous area of the toy so exercise caution when testing for silicone lube compatibility. Water based lube is actually my preferred choice with this toy as it only requires a few drops for long lasting silky glide.

Store the toy away from bright or harsh light to preserve the lovely fuchia color. The color has a subtle purple cast to it that is just beautiful and, at least to me, increases the visual appeal of the toy. The silicone is unlikely to melt even in direct sunlight but why risk it? High ambient heat may break down the mechanical portions of the toy so I don't recommend storing this toy in the trunk of your car or glove box!

Packaging

The Vr2 arrives in a lovely medium weight cardboard box with only the logo for the Vanity series and the name of the company on the front. There is no indication that this is a vibrator anywhere on the box. I love how very discreet it is! It seems to me that this would be a perfect gift for a special someone.

The toy comes with a 10 inch square black cloth bag that is silky soft and very discreet. It has the JOpen logo on the bottom of the front of the pouch in white. It is a drawstring type bag that holds the toy, it's charger and the information booklet if you feel the need to retain it. It is large enough to fit the toy lengthwise along with the charger and allow the bag to be wrapped around the slender toy. It makes for a very small and unobtrusive package that is easily stored in a bedside table or dresser drawer.

The information booklet explains how to turn on the toy, charge it and lock the buttons for travel. It also explains how to care for the toy as well as a few warnings. It is adequate but not phenomenal and seems to be more about advertising the entire line than explaining the benefits of the actual toy you bought! You have to search for the instructions for your actual purchase.

Personal comments

I like the look of this line and the Vr2 is a beautiful and functional toy. My real issue is the lack of variety/patterns of vibration and the fact that this is such a slender toy. Size queens won't be impressed but its great for the well rounded toybox. I am spoiled and missed the bells and whistles.

Experience

When I finally got that 200th review written and sent I was so excited that EF was going to send me an amazing product to review as a sort of thank you. I had very high expectations and sadly I was disappointed. Now don't get me wrong, this is a lovely toy and does exactly what it's supposed to but to be honest, I have better toys! I have found that I like patterns more than straight vibration and this was where the Vr2 fell down. If I choose a straight vibration toy I need vigorous speeds and vibration and the Vr2 just can't, quite, deliver. I can still recommend this vibe as a first time user and experienced player toy but for me I simply prefer my G Ki or Zini Ran. I will be using this in the future but it's certainly not my 'go to' toy.
Follow-up commentary
Getting the Vr4.5 prompted me to take another look at this toy. I think the fact that when I received the Vr2 I had just gotten the G-Ki and a couple other double end vibrators jaded me just a bit to the amazing qualities of this toy.
I have found that it needs to be recharged quite a bit more often than, say, my G-ki but that's not a terrible issue.
The toy still looks amazing and is capable of providing some pretty intense orgasms.
For a first luxury toy this is a great buy and a good addition to any toy box.
