Traditional vibrator discontinued
by NMC Ltd

Pink and sparkly, what else do you need?

If you're looking for a first-time vibe, wanting something cute and fun in your collection, or just wanting to add to the stash for variety, this Diamond Fairy vibe is absolutely worth the price. It's really cheap, and well worth the money. However, I doubt advanced sex toy users would ever really use it more than a time or two. I think it would be a spectacular gift, though - it's cute and un-intimidating, and it can be repackaged easily.

Use

Well! This little Diamond Fairy vibe is more than it looks. I don't often run towards the cutesy or the gussied up toys - after all, the most popular vibrators are often the ugliest (Hitachi Magic Wand, anyone?). But this little vibe is absolutely adorable, and packs a punch as well. It's not for the sex toy connoisseur, but it does the job. It's a perfect first-time vibe, or something cute and inexpensive to add to the collection. I keep mine by the bed in a box with a few other smaller toys for impromptu play, rather than in the chest with the other bigger, bulkier toys.

It's an ideal solo/masturbation toy - it features nice, rumbly vibrations that are not particularly powerful, but will work for anyone not needing something hardcore, or for foreplay. With a brushed plastic surface, it's easy to clean but nice and smooth, and the curves make it ideal for insertion or for clitoral stimulation.

Material / Texture

The Diamond Fairy is made of plastic, making it affordable and very simple to clean - just antibacterial soap and water on this one will do fine, or an alcohol wipe-down. However, the brushed plastic makes it very smooth and soft, so it will give you the feel of a softer material without the lint-gathering or difficulty in cleaning. It is waterproof, making cleaning even easier.

Right out of the box, it has a bit of a plastic smell, but nothing I noticed unless I put it straight to my nose. When used with lube (water based or silicone, whichever you prefer), it is very slick and slides around very easily. This can make it difficult to hold for insertion, but I find it makes it ideal for clitoral stimulation, particularly if you only lube the top half.

This is a typical beginner vibe with typical beginner vibe material. I would recommend to most anyone to try out a brushed plastic such as this at first, since it makes it so simple to clean and is non-porous. Diamond Fairy is hypo-allergenic as well, and made with food-safe materials.

Design / Shape / Size

The Diamond Fairy has a common curved shape to it, but doesn't have any bend or flared tip. This makes it less than ideal for G-spot vibe enthusiasts - however, I felt it hit my G-spot just fine. For beginners or casual users, it will likely do the job. It has a significant girth - it's not big, but it's definitely not a slimline vibe. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who prefers less girth, it may be something to be worked up to.

The shape is designed for insertion, but it's rather squat, meaning you won't get more than about 4 inches inside. This is definitely enough for most, but those who want a longer insertable portion will want to look for something else.

Though it has curves along the base, again, it has no bend, which may make it more difficult for solo insertable play. For partner play, however, it's a perfect shape - it is very simple for a partner to insert. It has no flared base and gets very slippery, so avoid it for anal stimulation.

The Diamond Fairy is small enough to be tucked away in a pocket or purse, making it very travel-friendly. It's relatively discreet - it's not whisper-quiet, especially on the highest setting, but it's not particularly loud either.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibrator has only three settings - low, medium, and high. No intermittent patterns, and there is only one button directly on the bottom of the base. However, the button is easy to press, it makes a distinct click, and it conveniently cycles to off after the highest setting. It's very easy to use in the dark, you really don't need to see to turn it on and off or cycle through.

It's not the strongest vibrator, but the Diamond Fairy is average in vibrations. It will be perfect for a beginner or someone who prefers more indirect stimulation, particularly in the clitoral area. It's also mid-range in sound, not loud, but not whisper-quiet either. However, it's ideal for a gift, being cute and generic, yet effective.

I can't say this enough - DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BATTERIES IN THIS TOY. Take the battery out after every use, and be prepared, it's not great on batteries. It will guzzle them pretty quickly. Luckily, it only takes one AA battery, cheap and simple enough to find. My battery doesn't last more than a few goes, and it's not defective, and I'm putting it in correctly. (I know it's not defective, since I already had a defective one replaced.)

Care and Maintenance

Again, Diamond Fairy is made of easy-to-care-for plastic. It's my preferred beginner material because of how easy it is to clean, disinfect and sanitize - just pick up a bottle of toy cleaner and a cloth and you're all set. The plastic means it can be stored with any other kind of material and it won't degrade - also, it can be used with any type of lube. Those new to sex toys often don't have things like a shelf full of lubes or similar, so this makes it great.

It's also easy to store - it won't attract lint, so it will do great in the toy box with other sex toys, or on its own in any kind of material. Again, remove the battery before storing!

Packaging

This vibrator came in a simple, cheap plastic envelope from EdenFantasys, making it very easy to recycle the packaging and go on with your day. It's really not appropriate or easy to store the vibrator in the plastic envelope, particularly because it's a one-size-fits-all package and it's twice the size of the toy! There were minimal instructions, but it really doesn't require much to figure out. I wouldn't use the packaging for a gift - if I was using it as bachelorette gifts or similar, I would put each vibe in a small cloth pouch.
