Diamond fairy - traditional vibrator discontinued by NMC Ltd - review by MsDrProfKitty

I have to admit something... this was my first penetrable vibe (GASP! I know!) and I couldn't have asked for a better start. The Fairy is petite and pretty, making it not at all intimidating, and I was pleasantly surprised by its wonderful performance. This little vibe also served as my SO and my first vibrator we used together and the Fairy did an AMAZING job! He didn't find it intimidating, and it was easy enough to use that he didn't have to focus on figuring it out! I especially recommend this for couples who are just getting into the toy world!



While the Fairy is small and compact, I have found that it is excellent for clitoral, nipple, and vaginal stimulation. This little beauty is a lovely foreplay toy and can also be used during sex to change things up a bit or to add some extra, external stimulation. I strongly advise against using the Fairy for anal penetration though, because it is very short and does not have a flared base or retraction method at all. Having to tell the doctor that you have a fairy stuck up your bum could be very embarrassing indeed. So play it safe!

This toy may be too mild for those who are looking for very deep penetration, need a bended shape to reach their g-spot, and/or need earth shattering vibrations, but it does a great job at providing 3 vroom, rumbly vibrations to either complete the job or warm you up! The Fairy has a rounded point at the end which does a fair job at pinpointing but might not do the job if you need a more focused stimulation.

This toy may be a little too girthy to those who are not used to it. If you are not used to girth then perhaps you will need to warm up a little with a thinner toy before using the Fairy. This little Diamond will definitely be worth the warm up though!

Oh! And did I mention this toy is WATERPROOF? I absolutely love playing in the shower and the Fairy definitely added some magic to the whole experience. Being underwater does not change the Fairy's vibration strength. Because it is waterproof and very smooth all over, the Fairy is also very easy to clean.

The Fairy is safe for roommate situations only if you have your own room! On the highest setting it can be heard through a door if someone knows what they are listening for and is standing very still right outside. If I could, I would rate its highest setting as 2 and a half bees.

While the Fairy is petite and not realistic looking, there is no mistaking what it is so make sure it is tucked away when you travel or have Grandma over.

The Diamond Fairy is made entirely from hypoallergenic, non-porous, latex and phthalate-free, food grade plastic. Plastic is rated 8 out of 10 on the Eden material safety scale. Plastic can be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution and can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol wipes, soap and water, or toy cleaner. The Fairy can be stored with other toys.

Because it is made out of plastic, the Fairy is rigid. The surface of the toy is smooth all over with the insertable length also having a velvety feel to it, which is extremely pleasant to touch and only has a very slight drag when inserted without lube. This toy is compatible with oil, water, and silicone based lubes.

The Fairy did not have a particular smell when I first got it and it has not gathered any unpleasant odors since I've been using it. In fact, it just smells a little like the soap I use to clean it, which is very pleasant. This vibe does not have a particular taste to it.

Another great thing about the Fairy is it is NOT a lint roller! I can clean it, dry it, and toss it in my fun drawer without having to worry about any hair or fuzzies attaching to my Fairy.

The Fairy is so smooth it should be easy to use for beginners (as long as they're used to a little girth) and easy for people who are not a fan of a lot of texture to handle.

The Fairy is very short, but it also has some girth to it. It is 5.5 inches long with an insertable length of 4.25 inches and at the widest point is about 4.25 inches around. This means that the insertable part of the Fairy is shorter than the "average" penis.



The Fairy is 1.25 inches in diameter at the wide points and a little less than an inch in diameter at the thin points. The diameter of the largest points of the Fairy is close to what is considered the "average" diameter of the male penis.



The Fairy has a great, rounded point at the end and widens to a smooth bulb. It then tapers down in a sort of valley and back up to another 1.25 inch in diameter "hill", then back down, and up to the base. This toy is straight and does not curve for direct g-spot stimulation. However, I really enjoyed the shape of this toy and could feel every curve while using it and was still able to stimulate my g-spot with it. The Fairy is small enough to not intimidate and large enough to really feel it inside you!

While the Fairy is short and petite, it is not too small to be used easily! I have smaller hands and I was able to maneuver this toy with ease. My SO with his larger hands was also able to easily use this toy on me with no difficulty, so the Fairy's size is not a problem!

The color of the Fairy is exactly as shown in the product picture. One way EF visually set the Diamond Fairy apart from the rest is the fairy has an inlay of fake diamonds between the insertable length and the base. Normally I would worry about the diamonds falling off, but not on this toy! Here the diamonds are sealed away in a clear plastic cover that not only keeps the whole toy smooth but also takes away the worry! Overall, the Diamond Fairy is very cute and aesthetically pleasing.

The Fairy is wonderfully put together and has very easy to use controls. It runs on one AA battery and is controlled via a button at the tip of the base. This button does not get in the way nor is it easy to accidentally push it while using it.

The Fairy has three settings: low, medium, and high. The low setting is 1 bee and about 1 and a half vrooms. The medium setting is about 1 and a half bees and 2 vrooms, and the high setting is about 2 and half bees and 3 vrooms. To change the settings all you need to do is push the button, one push turns it on at the lowest setting, then again for medium, then again for high, then again to turn it off, and if you push it one more time it starts again on the low setting. The vibrations are focused in the center bulb but can be felt quite well all over the toy. This vibe has more of a rumble vibration than a buzz vibration, which I really enjoyed. Even on the highest setting I can hold onto it without my hand going numb. I am still using the same battery as when I first got it, so it isn't a battery guzzler!

As stated, this toy is made entirely of plastic so it is very easy to clean. You can clean the Fairy with soap and water, isopropyl alcohol wipes, or toy cleaner. If you are looking to really disinfect the Fairy you can use a 10% bleach solution. The Fairy is very smooth all over and so there are no hard to clean places where bacteria can build up. The only seam that you may want to keep an eye on is the line where the battery cap and the diamonds meet. This seam is very small and is not noticeable during use or if you run your hand along the Fairy. Since it is waterproof you can just clean, rinse it, dry it, and store it without any extra worry.

This toy can be stored with other toys because it is made of plastic and it does not pick up a lot of hair or dust. Be sure to take out the battery when you store it to avoid any corrosive build up in the battery case that could ruin your toy.

Also, do not screw on the battery cap too tightly. If you do it could ruin the O ring inside that makes the toy waterproof.

I have used this toy many times in the shower and I have yet to see any water in the diamond case or in the battery compartment, so it is holding up well!

The Fairy was sent in a simple, discreet brown box with no mention of what was inside it. Once I opened the box, I found the Fairy packaged in a see through, plastic container with the Edenfantasys website and company information scrolled on the sides. You can use this packaging to store the fairy if you want, but it doesn't really need special storage since it is made of plastic and if you wanted to keep it separate from other toys there are nicer things to use. The packaging the Fairy comes in is recyclable.



The Fairy did not come with any instructions, but I found that none were needed. This toy is wonderful in its simplicity!

As I said before, this was my first insertable vibrator and it was great! The Fairy is great for vaginal penetration and clitoral stimulation. The bulb creates a wonderful entering sensation and the vibrations are deep and rumbly. I definitely had a fun time trying this toy out! I was actually able to reach my g-spot with some repositioning and some exploration! Because the Fairy was so unintimidating, my guy had no problem with using it during our sexy times. This toy was our first that we used together and it was wonderful!

This toy was very useable with its small, maneuverable size and its lovely shape! I give this little Fairy 5 stars.
