High intensity bullet - bullet discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by River

This is definitely a clitoral/vulvar stimulation vibe. With about the dimensions of my index finger, it is even great for stimulation all around the vaginal opening, but attempts at even shallow intra-vaginal penetration with the bullet (hey, worth a try, right?) were less than stellar -- it is both too small for pleasurable stimulation (felt like a buzzing bee in there instead of powerful vibration) and if slippery fingers let go, you have to go on a fishing expedition to retrieve it. I haven't tried it anally, but I imagine the same applies; due to the tighter muscles, the vibrations would be more easily felt, but god help you if you let go.

The bullet is made of smooth, hard plastic. No odor or flavor, and the hard plastic transmits the vibrations well; the only downside would be that it's possible to press it too hard against yourself in search of just that little bit more, and end up with a mild bruise the next day.

At about the size of a finger, it's easily concealed in the back of a nightstand among all the other junk, and would likely be even more subtle if I hadn't gotten bright pink! There's a small nub on the tip, and this plus the shape and size make it easy to maneuver with precision for intense stimulation in corners and folds you might otherwise overlook.

The vibrations are strong and concentrated at the tip of the bullet, but using the tapered side for a wider area of stimulation works well also. I thought that I was someone who required extremely intense vibration to climax, and indeed I've never used this vibe without turning it up to max power before the end, but I found that I was able to get enjoyable stimulation off of the lower two settings as well. This is in contrast to other, weaker vibes where I have to start at max power to feel anything.

The control is a single rubber button on the butt end of the bullet. This is another reason it's not good for penetrative play -- if the vibe gets slippery at all, it becomes very difficult to operate the controls with one hand. The button takes a good amount of pressure to trigger (reminiscent of a clicky pen, but even tougher), and will shoot out from between your fingers if you're not holding it with two hands. Holding it carefully inside the very entrance of an orifice can be fun, but I've never managed to up the vibration while still holding it in place without using two hands; one to hold it and one to press the button.

The strength of the vibrations goes down as the battery depreciates, and if you use it mostly on full strength as I do, it's definitely a battery guzzler. I think I only got a handful of uses out of the battery that ships with the vibe. And when a toy requires an expensive, specialty battery like this one, not being longer lasting definitely knocks a few points off of it for me.

The hard plastic is easy to clean and I don't store it in any special way, just in my nightstand. Changing the battery (if you can find and afford a replacement! Your best bet might be to buy the N batteries it requires off of the internet, because they weren't in my grocery store nor Walmart) requires a simple twist off of the butt end of the bullet.

I'm a college kid with a roommate, so before use, I had to do some experimenting when home alone. Turning the vibe on and leaving it running on my bed while standing outside my closed door led me to conclude that this is a pretty darn silent toy! In fact, leaving it running on the lowest setting under the covers and even just standing across the room made the sound hard to pick out, especially if the environment wasn't perfectly quiet. I'm not saying you could necessarily get away with using this when your roommate was sleeping in the next bed, but it's not too far outside the realm of possibility! The highest setting was always audible when in the same room, but as soon as the door was closed, completely inaudible again. Other vibes I have used can still be heard through my hollow core bedroom door, even if under comforters and blankets, but I feel comfortable not being overheard with this one.
