Vitality - sex toy by Leaf - review by Sangsara

Dual action vibrator by Leaf

Vitality is a little odd for it's VITAL purpose

The Leaf Vitality rocks. It's a unique, ergonomic, water-proof vibe in the shape of a plant that provides many options for penetration and stimulation. Male or female, vagina or perineum, the silicone on this toy vibrates with strength and supreme ease of use. Like most luxury vibes it's rechargeable and costs a little too much but it has a warranty and is destined to add to a ton of orgasmic nights.

extremely useful review

Okay this vibe is fantastic. It stimulates all erogeneous zones but is especially pleasing for either dual stimulation of the female G-spot and clitoris or the male P-spot and perineum. It is also great for dual penetration of both the vagina and anus due to its extreme flexibility.

I would suggest playing around with it. Try to see what works for you and what doesn't. It's not your typical vibe, I don't know if it would work really for massage but I'm sure that anyone's nipples and/or male partners balls could love the curves of the Vitality.

There are 4 other vibes in this line- all slightly different shaped and apparently with different motors, although they are all powered by PowerBullet. There is a comparison of them here
It's so discreet you could take it anywhere, it would travel well and it would be highly unlikely that anyone would recognize it for what it is.

Material / Texture

The Leaf vibes all come in a bright neon green that should be hard on the eyes but are not. They are made of medical grade [silicone] which is a 10 on the eden safety scale because it is hypoallergenic, latex and phthalates free and completely non-porous. It's impermeability means that as long as cleaned properly between users or orifices it is safe to share.
The silicone is smooth but matte not shiny, with a slightly grainy texture. There is one seam along the edge but personally I don't notice it. The buttons and handle are silicone as well.
It doesn't smell or taste and I believe that all users, new and advanced will enjoy the texture. Lube may be needed depending on your own preferences and level of natural moisture. Because it is silicone, of course water-based lube is the only appropriate choice. I prefer something with aloe like sliquid organics natural.
    • Light odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The Vitality is shaped like a plant with two leaves shooting up out of a rounded stem. The dimensions of the Vitality are as follows:
Length: 5.5 inches
Insertable Length: 3.25 inches
Diameter: 1 inch
Circumference: 3.25 inches
Weight: 1 lb

The leaves themselves are angled apart from each other and are extremely flexible. They might need to be held together for pinpoint stimulation of your clitoris. When you do this you may only be able to achieve shallow penetration with the other leaf, but it's still worth it. Either leaf can be used on its own to stimulate nipples or any other sensitive area- try each because they vibrate at different frequencies and one will provide a slightly different affect than the other.

The design of the handle is such that it's safe for dual penetration or for prostate stim/perineum use.
I think that with the amount of possibilities of uses of this toy both advanced and beginners will have fun with it and can use it practically anywhere without setting off any sex toy alarms.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The entire Leaf line is made by Swan who also makes Jopen. The Power Bullet motors are apparently similar and so are the controls. The Vitality has two separate motors located in each leaf, mid leaf. The rounded handle which houses a rechargeable lithium battery has two slightly protruding buttons- one for each motor. They can be run separately or together. One press and the motor comes on, hold it down and it gets stronger, one more press and it goes off. The buttons are super easy to press but the handle is designed so that they stay out of the way during use and also succeeds in keeping the vibrations where they belong.

I would say that the motors are just barely 4 vrooms but they are very quiet- only 1 bee. Slightly buzzy, but I like buzzy as long as it's not too high pitched.

The charger is similar to a Jopen charger, it penetrates the toy much like a pin, the good thing about this is that you don't have to worry about it accidentally becoming detached. Initial charging time is approximately 3 hrs for approximately 2hrs of use and subsequent charging depends on how much juice it has left. The red light will light up on initial plug-in and go out when it's finished charging.

Of course, having no moving parts or compartments that open, it's completely submersible and works great underwater.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Rechargeable

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning is easy.- antibacterial soap and warm water, toy cleaner, wipes, and/or a 10%bleach solution but do not boil it or put it in the dishwasher as it could break the vibes motor. The Vitality has next to no texture, save a super thin seem running the length of the leaves, the two small raised control buttons and a tiny circular indent where the charger attaches so it should be quite easy to ensure proper cleaning.

The Vitality, like all silicone toys, needs to be stored away from members of its own kind; because just like silicone lube, other silicone toys will deteriorate each others surface. Hense oil or water-based lube only- though I personally always stick to water-based.
    • Easy to clean
    • Store separately

The Leaf vibes come in a recycled cardboard box- the look is very organic - I think the company wants to promote them as 'eco' vibes. It's beige with a Leaf logo and would make a fabulous gift or jewelery box. The packaging is very discreet- unless you read it, it doesn't suggest a sex toy at all. Inside is a canvas bag- quite strong, unlike the satin drawstring bags that come with the We-Vibes. It has the same color pattern as the box with a hefty drawstring closure. The box also contains the instructions and charger and would be perfect for storage or gift giving.
    • Recyclable
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

It's just too flexible for me though I do like the style and concept of the Leaf vibes. I would like to try the life especially but am also drawn to the spirit and the fresh. Others reviewers have said that each vibrates at a different strength and frequency.

Well, I excitedly purchased the Vitality off of another contributor, so I got it for an awesome price. Thing is I also got the Muse and the Iris from her so I didn't get to use it right away. I get spoiled; luxury vibrators around me everywhere and I wish I had the patience to use just one, but the guaranteed orgasm ones call and I cheat on my new lovers.

When I did finally get around to using the vibrator and not just amusing myself with how floppy it is and the fact that it resembles a plant, I had an innovative experience. I tried using it like a rabbit- with one stem inside and one on my clit, and while I did enjoy the angle of the clitoral portion (I like it when it curves away like the Jopen vr3 or Fun Factory Ocean) it made for an insertable that poked toward my bum instead of my G-spot. It was also too floppy if I held it by the rounded bulbous end so I tried pinching the two stems together like this:

I'm not super aroused by anal, so while this is a safe toy to use for that purpose, I didn't bother. I pretty much just ended up switching back and forth between the two stems, using each as a direct pin point clitoral stimulator. For this purpose it works well but as both just barely reach 4 vrooms, it wasn't enough to get me off. In the end the vVtality moved on and my next Leaf review will be the Life, as my experience with Leaf products was good enough to buy another one- just as long as the reviews are for a model with more oomph. I definitely recommend Leaf vibrators. Once again it's all about the ergonomics- how the shape of each toy fits with your particular body.

Follow-up commentary
I ended up swapping the Vitality because I found that it was just too damn flexible and there are other toys on Eden that suit its purpose better. I know that rabbits are hard to find the right size and shape to fit but it's counterproductive to have the curve bending away from your back against the back wall of your vagina instead f the front. When using for double generation both leaves curved the wrong way. Plus I have the same complaint that I almost always have- it's not strong enough! I do appreciate how unique it is and if I didn't have a Leaf Life(which is an absolutely amazing top 5 clitoral toy) I would have hung on to it just for esthetic and novelty reasons.
