Iowa may not be on the list of states with legalized same-sex marriage for long if angry opponents have their way. So far, they've managed, through retention votes, to remove three of the seven justices who ruled unanimously in 2009 that denying same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.
Some legislators aren't willing to wait until the other four come up for retention in 2016, so they're trying to impeach them. One of the action's sponsors, Republican state Rep. Kim Pearson, says she feels this course of action is right.
“The idea is to uphold the integrity of the Constitution and this is our opportunity to do that,” she said. “They overstepped their bounds by legislating from the bench.”
However, Iowa House Speaker Kraig Paulsen disagrees.
“While I agree with much of the reasoning behind the impeachment resolutions, I disagree with this remedy,” Paulsen said in a statement. “I do not expect it to be debated on the floor of the House, and if it is, I will vote no. House Republicans remain focused on reducing government spending and lowering taxes for Iowa families and small businesses.”
We get it. A lot of Iowa voters are not happy with the justices' ruling. And they will have the opportunity to vote those justices out, next time around. But we expect cooler heads to prevail in the legislature. Impeachment is for when public officials commit crimes, not for when you don’t like how a judge ruled.

OK, if that is the case, lets Impeach then entire Senate and House of Representatives then on grounds of allowing the country to go to hell..!
