Shaved or not shaved, that is the question!

It's my body, not there's. If a silly thing like my pubic hair is enough to turn them off of the rest of my body, then I don't want them. It's not like I have a third arm attached to my navel that slaps them over the head every time they try to perform cunnilingus or anything equally detrimental (slash absurd).

I agree.

And while I may have a preference on my partner, well.. "Choose your battles wisely" right?

What style EmJoi do you have? I checked out their site, and they looked pretty cool. I know everyone's pain tolerance is different, is it around the same pain level as waxing?

I do a variety of things. Right now, I am very very proudly rocking a full 1970's style bush. It's red, of course.

I would have never thought it would "work", but I get *so* much attention from women at playparties because of it. Crazy!

I prefer trimmed. I would love to shave underneath for sanitary reasons, but am afraid that I will cut myself in that area.

I like in this order, but thats just me I'm not too picky about the first 3 though. but I do agree it's really her choice this is just MY preference.. I would tell her my preference if she was interested, but not force anything. either way I'd be happy I at least have a gf...

I like to trim my hair but I have shaven clean before I don't mind any kind. I would do what she wants. though I haven't figured out how to shave my balls effectively yet. I suppose if I got a bodybare it would be much easier than trying to use hair clippers..

1..Little bit of hair there (Some sort of design) (I guess I could tug on it gently or something (i read this was good)
2..Shaved clean (Bonus to this is you can see everything clearly (which I think is why porn stars do it) negative is you cant tug any hairs)
3..Trimmed (would be nice because you could like play with all the hair I guess)
4..Natural (less friction during sex, to me little bit less attractive for oral sex) I could see my self playing with the hair with all my fingers, bc i like to play with the hair on my head a LOT, in fact its falling out so fast bc I play with it too much, i twirl it right out of my head, of course i would be more careful if it was someones hair other than mine..

I would be willing to try all 4.. I'd prefer alternating between all 4 actually... that would be kind of awesome, variety is the spice of life right?

I can find +'s and -'s to each one, so what ever she is willing to do I guess which is really what it comes down to..

if Eden ended up getting pubic shavers I would buy one and review it.. especially the bodybare

Tugging on my pubic hair?! Who in the name of God told you that was good? Unless you're in to masochism, I can't see most women liking that; it hurts like a bitch.

I saw it in a foreplay video which I'm slowly putting my review together for, BTW it was a chick telling me to do this, I have faith in her words!!

not tugging on it like your going to pull it out or cause pain

just a light pull so its just a tease.. just very, very gentle.. I know how to do it so I don't hurt anyone.. I would do it to the part thats like by the stomach not the lips..

I got a good idea how to do it. its very light tug and not just 1 hair, no, you grab like 40 so its distributed over a large surface.. its gentle enough not to hurt trust me, I'm not an idiot, that is the last thing I want to do is hurt something. you can barely feel it but it's there, just enough to make the skin feel like its moving a little then you stop thats it... its not much at all.. it's like about as much as you get when combing your hair, just an ever so slight tug.

it's not for the main attraction its for foreplay, before you get to the good stuff, just a tease until they cant take the teasing anymore and head on to the penetration or oral sex when they are itching for more..

I tried it on my balls and it feels awesome so I dunno I think your doing something wrong like to hard or not enough hair...

TWG is smarter than you think..

::shivers:: Maybe my genitals are just especially sensitive.

I never said you were stupid. I just know you haven't actually tried it yet, so I wasn't sure if it was really a pleasurable experience. It never has been in my sex life.

that's awesome. My partner and i once tried dying her's bright blue but only the bleach took so she ended up blonde! (she has practically black hair) So we matched for a while. XD

Well, I'm not talking about like.. ripping hair out wax style. Just a little of a lock of hair.

Pubic hair tugging is the hotness....

light and ever so gentle is delicious, and for the more masochistic, being dragged around a cold floor by it is fabulous

Try Noxzema bikini razors instead of a regular blade. They are quite small and pretty gentle and it's tough to cut yourself with them (been using them for years). Just use a good shave gel (I use hair conditioner, dunno if that's bad).

I was pretty natural for many years. Trimmed around the bikini like, but hated ingrown hair and had a huge problem with it.

Completely shaved now and it had nothing to do with porn and very little to do with other men. I like the feel of my own skin against my hand.

I've just ordered an EmJoi Travel epilator after reading your post. From your experience, can you please give me some advice? Do you apply numbing spray before you start pulling? Will the residue from the numbing spray mess up the tweezers? I have a few stray hairs on the inner flap of my labia, is it all right to remove those as well - will it hurt like hell? (I've been pulling/waxing everywhere else except there.) Thanks!

I like to be completely hairless, and I've shaved a few times, but it's just so irritating when it grows back. I plenty of itching and ingrown hairs, so it's not really worth it. My husband prefers that I have hair and just trim it a little bit, so that's what I do. I've only had a brazilian wax once, and it hurt like crazy, but I loved how it looked. I'd do that more often if it wasn't so expensive.

Just curious: I've heard that waxing causes less ingrown hairs than shaving. Is that true?

Everywhere I've waxed has suffered WAY more ingrown hairs than shaving of the same places. I tried waxing for a few months - legs, bikini, and arm pits - and it was MISERABLE. Part of the problem for me is that waxing pulls the hair follicle out and mine just never wanted to bounce back to where they should be. My tech said I should just keep trying, but (seriously) 4-5 months later, it was still awful.

For me, waxing gave me a lot fewer ingrown hairs than shaving. It took longer to grow back, wasn't as itchy, and I just all around liked it better. I guess it just depends on who you are.

I use to shave everything but a "landing strip" or shave it all off. But my tastes chaned as I got older. Now I shave just the labia.

I just started shaving about a year ago. I keep it clean shaved or close to it. Hubby actually shaved me last time and he acted like he really enjoyed it.
He let me shave/trim him several times and has actually shaven himself several times. We both use electric razors and haven't had many issues with ingrown hairs or razor burn. Initially, I did have some razor burn but not lately.

I like keeping mine completely shorn, but it very much depends on how much time and energy I have for upkeep. It pretty much waxes and wanes with the seasons, along with my legs; when I have energy to shave them all on a daily basis, I do so. When I don't have the time and don't have anyone who's going to care, it's just not worth it. Still, I really dislike the feeling of having hair down there :-(

Well said. I have shaved for a looong time now and I prefer it that way. No hairy gorilla down there ick. It comes down to personal preference. One of my ex partners was curious and shaved himself and never looked back either. The only thing that sucked was the "prickly phase" lol. Easily fixed though.
