The COLT anal douche is used to clean out the rectum, which increases safety and comfort for any sort of anal play. While there are some health benefits to douching, some may simply enjoy the feeling and use this product mostly for sexual satisfaction. The bulbed attachment would be great for pleasuring oneself or partner! In fact, the attachment can be used by itself, rather than with the pump, as an anal toy.

What I love is that the kit isn't overly big, so it is great for beginners and advanced users alike! However, beginners may want to use the product without the attachment at first and then work their way up. Additionally, while there is a male on the packaging, women can definitely use it as well!

The douche is comprised of two materials: plastic and latex. So, if you are allergic to latex, do not purchase this product. Additionally, latex is porous, so make sure you clean it well after each use.

The pieces which are insertable are red plastic; the material is hard, yet smooth. While plastic is non-porous and easy to clean, this product should ideally not be shared.

The latex pieces are the pump and the black sleeve on the bulbed attachment. The material is smooth and pliable, which makes the pump easy to use. However, it has quite a strong odor. After using this product, my boyfriend couldn't get the stench off of his hands, even after washing repeatedly.

The pump is a little bigger than my fist, although I have pretty small hands. It holds approximately one cup of water. When holding it, I can wrap my hand around it halfway. While I could still squeeze it, it was a bit awkward. However, my boyfriend's hands are much bigger, so he was more comfortable holding the pump. So, as long as you don't have teeny hands, you should find this douche easy to use!

The standard nozzle is the thin probe that slightly tapers. While it comes attached to the pump, it can be separated. It measures 3 inches in length; the insertable length is 2.25 inches. Even at its widest insertable point, it is less than one inch in circumference.



The bulbed nozzle can be placed right on top of the standard, thin nozzle. It has a flared base, which acts as a sleeve, so it sits in place rather well. In the worst case scenario, if the nozzle were to come off during use, the sleeve would prevent it from becoming sucked into your body. The bulbed nozzle measures a little under 6 inches with 4.25 being insertable. It is about 2 inches in circumference around one of the circular bulbs.



There are 6 bulbs total, but the topmost bulb actually unscrews. At first, I was a bit confused as to why I would need this, but then it struck me. With the cap on, the bulbed attachment can be used as an anal toy. At the same time, leaving the cap on will prevent you from using the nozzle for douching, since there isn't a hole for the water to pass through. With the cap removed, the edges are not sharp. However, I still suggest you take your time inserting the nozzle.

The COLT anal douche does come with instructions, but they are not very informative.



Thankfully, there are online guides for douching. I will include the instructions my boyfriend followed:

1. For first time use, thoroughly clean the product after removing it from the package.

2. Fill the pump with water. You can either: a) Fill the sink or some sort of bowl with warm water. Attach the nozzle and squeeze the pump. Then, place the nozzle in the water and release the pump. Or b) Without the nozzle attached, place the pump under running water and fill. Again, I suggest warm water since it is most comfortable when released inside the body. Then, attach the nozzle. To attach the standard nozzle, all you have to do is push (and possibly wiggle it) a bit. If you are using the bulbed attachment, place it over the standard nozzle and it will sit in place.

3. Gently insert the nozzle into your anal cavity. I suggest using a bit of lubricant to make the process easier. However, it is not necessary. I recommend silicone lube since it won't wash away with the water as you use the douche.

4. Squeeze the pump to release the water. Depending on your preferences, you can squeeze the pump just once or a few times until you feel full.

5. Sit on the toilet or hover over a shower drain and push. The water will release from your system.

6. Continue this process until the water being released from your body is clear. The number of times you will need to repeat will change with each person.

7. Wash all pieces thoroughly and place them out to dry.

Cleaning the douche thoroughly is of utmost importance. Disassemble all of the pieces and clean them well with anti-bacterial soap and warm water. Make sure you clean the tip of the nozzle (no matter which attachment you used) to ensure there is no leftover fecal matter or lubricant.

You'll also want the lay the pieces out to dry. The pump should be left upside down, so that any water can drain out of it. Once all of the pieces are dry, store the douche. You can use the box it came in if you'd like. Personally, I prefer to store the pieces in ziplock bags to ensure that they remain clean.

Oh, the packaging! It is definitely not discreet and will even be a bit embarrassing for some. On the front, there is a very muscular man, clad in just a pair of underwear, taking a shower. Additionally, California Exotics definitely wanted everyone to know what this product is used for since "COLT ANAL DOUCHE" is written all over the box.



On the side, there were some product specs, but it wasn't anything overly informative.



The pieces of the douche kit come wrapped in plastic bags. The standard, tapered nozzle was attached to the pump and sealed in one bag, while the bulbed nozzle was packaged separately.

While you can keep the box if you choose, I decided not to. Instead, I ripped the box up and recycled all of the materials.

I have 2 tips for douching:

1. For best results, don't wait longer than 30 minutes before anal play. Of course, this is not mandatory, but this is when your body will be cleanest.

2. Do not use a douche in excess; once a week is more than enough. When you use the anal douche, you remove all bacteria from the colon, including the good bacteria. Therefore, cleaning your system too often is actually a bad thing!
