Metal Worx Luv plug - butt plug discontinued by Pipedream - review by Beck

The Metal Worx Luv plug is a high quality polished steel butt plug. Designed for P-spot stimulation, but works for G-spot stimulation. It's easily manipulated by using the handle, which also makes it anal safe. This handle allows for you or your partner to easily maneuver the toy in the desired way. Be careful of thrusting because this is an unforgivable material that can cause injury.

Plugs are designed to be worn for extended periods of time. The Luv plug is meant to provide a nice full sensation from the size and the weight. The handle will fit between the cheeks allowing the user to be comfortable with using the plug.

You can also use plugs as a warm up to anal sex. The Metal Worx Luv Plug is a size that most can handle, but with the firm material, you might not be able to insert right away. You will need lube, patience, and possibly a warm up finger.

According to the packaging, the Luv Plug is made of high quality polished Steel. Wikipedia says that polished means the finishing process. Polishing is an aggressive process that is used to enhance the appearance, prevent contamination of instruments, remove oxidation, create a reflective surface, or prevent corrosion in pipes. This process starts with with a rough abrasive and slowly works it's way down to a finer abrasive. Abrasives are used to remove pits, nicks, lines and scratches. Though, finer abrasives can leave thin lines that aren't visible to the naked eye.

Polished Steel isn't rated in on the safety scale, but it's close to stainless steel which is rated in at a 10 out of 10. Polished steel is a food grade material that is latex and phthalates free. It is also Nickle-free. Should you have any metal allergies, you might want to avoid metal toys. This is a non porous material that can be thoroughly cleaned for sharing and switching orifices.

The texture of the Luv plug is bulbous. There are two bulbs to the insertable portion of the plug. These are to provide a pooping sensation to the user. The finish of this plug is completely smooth except for inside my handle. There have been some complaints with the finish on the Metal Worx line, but I haven't had anything too bad from them. Most of the areas that have finish defects are places that aren't inserted. However, this might not be the case for every toy. So, thoroughly inspect all your toys upon arrival. Eden has a great return policy.

The Luv plug is designed very similar to Njoy's Pfun. These are so close that you might not even be able to tell them apart in the images I provided, but I labeled them so you can.



The Luv Plug is 4.5" long, but only 3.5" is insertable. There is a bulbous head that is 3.5" in circumference or slightly less than 1.25" in diameter. This head slims down to allow the muscles to relax prior to inserting the rest of the toy. The slimming neck, slims down small enough that I can't properly measure it. After the pause, there is another bulb that is 3" in circumference or 1" in diameter. After you insert the second bulb, it should be easy as pie to insert up to the handle. This handle acts as the flared base, but is also how you retrieve your plug safely. The handle is 0.75" thick, so it will fit in between the cheeks without spreading them too far or uncomfortably. The handle has a 2" diameter, which is just enough room for my first two fingers to slide inside. However, I do have really small fingers, so those with larger hands might have a harder time getting in this hand. You can always tie a string around it, if you can't fit your fingers inside. On the very base of the handle, there is a single gem. This gives this plug a more feminine appearance.

This plug isn't discreet, but small enough to hide almost anywhere. You can easily pack it away in purse or suit case. When traveling it can be packed away in it's lovely packaging. Don't go through a metal detector with it.

I picked the Luv plug for video assignment because there wasn't any images other than the product page. No one had done a video review either. So, I felt it needed these things for others to make an informed decision on whether or not they actually wanted the Luv plug. When I was breezing through the comments, I saw many that said "Njoy knock off?" Because the Luv plug looks so much like Njoy's Pfun. However, they are a little different.

I first wore this plug for about one hour. I washed dishes, did some laundry, walked up an down stairs, picked up toys, and many other activities while wearing this plug. I did not have any issues with it wanting to slip out. I could feel the weight pulling down, but it didn't drag the toy down. My muscles were able to hold on tightly to the plug. The weight and the size gave a very full feeling that made me light headed when I stood up. I found that squatting was the best position for insertion. I thoroughly enjoyed this feeling. I wasn't sure how metal would feel in my ass, but I really liked it. This plug is a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be. The only issue I had was the handle. It is a little too wide at the very base of the handle. It should be thinner, like Pfun. This would have made it more comfortable. The handle wasn't uncomfortable enough to not make me use it though.

The Luv Plug is waterproof because of the lack of controls. Taking into the shower and getting it wet will make the plug easier to insert, but slippery as well. You will want to be careful not to drop it because it could get stuck in the drain.

Polished steel will require some extra care to properly care for the finish. For regular cleanings, you should wash warm water and soap. Sharing between partners or changing orifices, you should wash with a 10% bleach and 90% water solution to ensure it's thoroughly cleaned. If you want to use a condom, that is fine too. You can also boil it for a thorough cleaning, but boiling could degrade the finish. Be sure to dry it completely prior to storing to keep the finish nice.

You should store this plug back in it's original packaging. However, pouches will work if you find the original packaging too bulky.

Polished steel is compatible with all lubes. Enjoy with a lube of your choice.

The Metal Worx packaging is very nice. It's a good solid case that has foam padding inside. This is great for gifting, traveling, and long term storage.

Luv Plug Vs Pfun

Whether or not you should purchase the Luv plug or Pfun will depend on a few things. Price, finish, and design.

The Luv Plug is $35.00 cheaper than Pfun.

Pfun will never corrode or degrade over time. The Luv plug needs special care in order not to degrade.

Design differences:




The size of Pfun is larger than the Luv plug. Pfun is 4.75" long with an insertable length of 3.5". Luv plug is 4.5" long and 3.5" insertable. The first bulb on Pfun is slightly larger than Luv plug; 4" circumference or 1.25" diameter (Pfun) and 3.5" circumference or slightly less than 1.25" diameter. The second bulb on Pfun is 3.25" in circumference or 1" diameter and Luv plug is 3" in circumference or 1" in diameter.



The handles are different. The Luv plug's handle is 0.75" thick and the Pfun's handle is 0.75" at the base of the plug, but thins to a 0.25" base that is marked Njoy.

Both are great toys you can't go wrong with.
