The toy itself is 2 attached egg-shaped beads (meaning the base of each "egg" is wider than the top of each one). The widest part is about 4 inches in circumference while the most narrow part is about 3 inches. At the end of the second one, there is a "cord" with a loop at the end to make it easier to pull them out when you're done using them. This toy, unfortunately, is not very subtle because of the loop. The material is very stiff, so if you were wearing these underneath clothes, there could be a possibility of the loop showing through the clothes. I actually think the best place to use these is in the shower, just because subtlety is not an issue in the shower.

The eggs, together, weigh about 4 ounces, so I would guess that they were about 2 ounces a piece. When using these for kegel exercises, inserting them both is good for beginners, but for something a little more challenging, leave one of them out so gravity can actually work against your muscles.

I would say that these could also be used anally but, personally, I don't know much about anal toys and am very inexperienced with that. I wouldn't think that if you used them anally, they wouldn't be too hard to retrieve, considering there is a loop at the end to pull. I wouldn't imagine that it would be too comfortable inserting them or retrieving them anally, though, but that's my own personal view.

The Loa beads are made of TPR, which gives them a safety rating of a 7 out of 10. It has a light odor to it, but it's only noticeable if you put it up to your nose. The site for the Loa beads says that it is a smooth material, but I do think that it feels lightly textured. There are seams on it and. to me, those can be considered bacteria traps. It can be cleaned with either warm soapy water, or toy cleaner. These are very stiff and don't handle maneuvering very well. For example, even having the Loa beads in while wearing underwear, the loop at the bottom would probably try to go back to it's regular shape underneath the underwear, which can make for a very awkward look.

The texture of the beads does not really make much of an issue towards beginners or more advanced users. I would say that if beginners to kegel exercisers were to use these, either use it with lube or try something smaller, but that is merely because of size.

I think the design of the toy is very versatile, mainly because you can either have one bead inserted, or both inserted. It is slightly hard to insert them and take them out but, luckily, the beads come with a small tube of lubricant, if lubricant isn't on hand. It is best to use silicone or water-based lubricants with these, so the material doesn't disintegrate. The shape of them didn't really make much of a difference to me. It probably would've been a lot harder to insert them or keep them in if they were round, instead of egg-shaped. I'm still slightly new to using kegel exercisers, and was told that using slightly bigger exercisers is to the beginner's benefit. Other than inserting/taking out, the size isn't much of an issue. The bigger ones are much easier to "grab" than smaller ones.

These beads come with a satin drawstring bag so it can be kept with discretion and can be traveled with, so that makes the beads very appealing.

There really is not much to say about performance that hasn't already been said. These don't vibrate or anything, so basically, you just insert them and keep them in for however long you can or want to. Like I've said previously, they are slightly uncomfortable when inserting or taking them out but when they are in, they weigh just about perfectly for a beginner. Also, you can either insert one or two, depending on how much you want gravity to work against you.

It is very easy to take care of these. They can be cleaned with either warm, soapy water or with toy cleaner. I personally use toy cleaner just because it's a lot easier to just spray and wipe, but either option is acceptable. I keep these in my closet in the satin bag that they came in so they stay safe and protected. These should be used with water or silicone-based lubricants only; any others can disintegrate the material.

The packaging on the toy is about the classiest I've seen on a toy. It comes in a cardboard box with a couple on the front. No nudity, just embracing each other. It is pretty obvious how these are supposed to be used, so I don't consider instructions to be a necessity. The toy actually came with a satin drawstring bag to be used for storage, so the box doesn't have to be reused for anything. The bag makes for subtle storage, so that is a major plus.
