Pretty Plain Prostate Pal

I have very mixed feelings about Bob. It feels good going in and out, is a great size, and has a sleek design - but it also has safety and hygiene concerns, and is a bit too long for me. But then again, I'm not its demographic - I'm female-bodied.

Use

The Lelo Bob is an anal toy designed to reach and stimulate the prostate gland in male-bodied people. It can also be used by female-bodied people, either anally or vaginally, and may be able to stimulate the female G-spot that way.

Because it has a diameter of only 1 1/4", this plug is best suited to people who haven't explored anal play much or at all, or who simply prefer slimmer toys in their butt.

Material / Texture

The Bob is made of silicone. Mine is the navy blue color, which is so dark that it almost appears to be black.

This particular formulation of silicone smells a little rubbery; I've found that this scent lessens with every wash.

The body of the plug has no give at all, which makes insertion easier, whereas the neck and ring-shaped handle have a bit of squish/give to them.

The entire plug is smooth and matte. It has a bit of drag, like all silicone, so it's important to use a good amount of water-based lube with this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The diameter of the Bob, while listed on EdenFantasys' product page as 1", is actually 1 1/4". This is a great size for a men's toy, since so many men are apprehensive about anal play (due mostly to cultural myths that equate anal play with homosexuality or effeminateness) and may prefer a smaller toy.

The Bob has an insertable length of 3 1/2", which I find sometimes feels too long, especially given how firm the body of the plug is. It seems that my butt can only comfortably handle firm toys if their insertable length is less than 3", because after that point, the toy tends to poke into my rectal wall a little bit (or a lot). The Bob is still pretty comfortable overall, but the length is the factor which is most likely to be an issue for me when I wear it, especially when I wear it for a long time.

The ring-shaped handle of this plug seems to be big enough to be safe, but it is pretty squishy, so I'd advise you to keep a tight grip on it so you don't lose it inside you.

Lelo have made a serious design error in placing engraved "LELO" logos on either side of the plug's neck. These are an awful trap for lube and bacteria, and are very hard to clean.

Performance

The shape of the Bob's body achieves something that no other butt plug I've tried can do: it feels good being slid in and out. In other words, it can function as a stationary plug or it can function as a moving probe. The ring-shaped handle makes it easy to slip the plug in and out, whether you're using it on yourself or on a partner.

I find that the Bob starts to get uncomfortable after about half an hour or an hour, if I'm just wearing it as a stationary plug. It seems to be intended more for sliding in and out, perhaps during a blowjob or handjob.

I was hoping that the Bob would be able to indirectly stimulate my G-spot through my vaginal wall, but it's so slim that it doesn't achieve this. It still feels good in my ass, though.

Care and Maintenance

Like all the silicone anal toys I've tried, this one retains "butt smell." I'm told that this can be taken care of by spraying the toy with a 10% bleach solution; however, I haven't tried this.

Also like all silicone toys, the Bob should not be paired with silicone-based lube. I've been using Sliquid Sassy Booty, a thick water-based lube designed for anal play, and it works great with this plug.

The Bob comes with its own sleek satin storage case, which is great for keeping it away from lint when you're not using it.
