My, my, aren't you a big boy.

Lone Star makes a great toy for those of us who enjoy a bit more girth. I haven't gotten adventurous enough to try it anally, but as a vaginal toy it has been just wonderful. The design and size are enough to stimulate my g-spot every time I use it (and trust me, I use it a lot). If you are looking to use it anally, the toy's flared base will ensure that you won't lose it inside of your body.

This VixSkin toy does not have any discernible smell or taste and is made of body-safe, nonporous silicone. It's very realistic with ridges and vein details along the shaft, head, and balls. The veins on top of the shaft are more pronounced than those on the underside. These details are something that I really love about the toy and add to stimulation during play. The material has a slight drag to it when pulled against dry skin. Like other silicone toys, the Lone Star is quite the lint magnet so be careful where you set it between uses. Its dual core allows for flexibility without being too wobbly and also gives the toy a little extra weight.

This was my introduction to VixSkin toys and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the design and material of this toy. I had been in the market for a toy with some more girth to it (the toy I had been using before I bought this was 1 3/4" in diameter) and the Lone Star delivers. If you're looking for something just shy of 2" in diameter, this toy is perfect at 1 7/8". Due to its width, I would not recommend it for first timers though it isn't too wide for average users looking for something with some girth to it.



Lone Star is very realistic and stands at 7" from base to tip.



Its insertable length is 6".


As this toy looks very similar to the real thing, it is not very discreet so travel with caution. If you are traveling with it, be sure to pack it in either the packaging in which it came or a pouch because it will pick up lint.

This toy is very easy to use and made of durable material that can be boiled (see Care and Maintenance for more information). The only downside is that its weight can make your arm a little sore depending on how long it takes you to finish - I've had a few sessions where I was taking longer than usual and felt some strain. Other than that, the weight only adds to the stimulation the toy delivers.

I haven't been able to use it in strap-on play, so I can't comment on how it performs yet. The Lone Star was able to fit in my SpareParts Joque harness. Hopefully I'll be able to report back on how the Lone Star performs in a harness within the next couple of months.

Cleaning this toy is very easy to do. Once you are finished, run it under some hot water and clean with antibacterial soap. I use the antibacterial hand soap in my bathroom and it works just fine. Another method to sterilize the toy is to boil it for up to 3 minutes.

Since Lone Star is a lint magnet, I make sure to store it in the plastic container with which it came. It snaps closed and fits easily in a regular sized drawer.



Silicone toys can only be used with water-based lubes. Use with silicone-based lubes will result in material degradation. If you are unsure about how your favorite lube will perform with this toy, try a test patch on the base of the toy.

The toy comes in a see-through plastic clamshell container with a black and yellow VixSkin logo on the front. On the back of the package is information about the designer and the toy's material:

Due to its transparent packaging, it would not serve as a good gift box nor a very discreet storage box. The clamshell does keep the toy lint free when not in use.

I frequently use Lone Star in conjunction with my Hitachi Magic Wand. Recently, I tried placing the Hitachi beneath the base of the Lone Star dildo while it was inside of me (held in place by my underwear) to see if I could use the toy to direct the vibration at my g spot. W O W. I don't think I've ever come that hard or that fast. If you're into g-spotting and have a little time, I would try this method with the Lone Star and your favorite vibrator.
