A cute little toy

The Acute is a wonderfully designed harness compatible G-spot, P-spot and anal dildo that will work well for you as long as you don't need a sizable toy. It may not fill you, but its likely to please you.

Use

The best use for the Acute is for G-spot stimulation for those who aren't looking for a sizable dildo.

The Acute's small size and flared base make it also suitable for anal play, especially for those who are just starting out.

Its size and subtle curve also make it a good choice for practicing deep throat techniques.

Material / Texture

The Acute is made of premium platinum silicone. The package actually states that its handmade from "100% ultra-premium" platinum silicone. It has a smooth finish with no texture other than its bulging head. Its non-toxic, hypoallergenic and phthalates free. It has no odor whatsoever.

It has an average level of firmness. You can compress it by squeezing and can easily bend the head to touch its base.

Its unimposing size and softness make it a good choice for beginners who may not be sure which size is right for them, while still being a effective toy for experienced users.

Being silicone, it's an incredible lint magnet.

Design / Shape / Size

The Acute offers five inches of insertable length, a four inch circumference shaft and a four and a quarter inch circumference head - smaller than it looks on this site, even in the actual-size view.

Its color is a beautiful mixture of swirling shimmering, metallic black and purple. It looks different in every light.

It has subtle waves in the shaft, but you won't feel them. The bulging head is what does all the work.

The bottom of the base is completely flat and oval in shape. The flared base makes it suitable for anal use and also serves as a decent handle to grip during use. The words "Tantus KWM" appear in caveman-like script on the top of the base.

It's smaller dimensions would make it easy to take along while traveling.

The Acute is a little smaller than the size toy I usually prefer. For me that meant it took somewhat longer for me to be successful using it.

Performance

In order for a toy to be really effective it has to have the right combination of firmness/softness and size to match the size and needs of the user. Everyone's perfect size and firmness may be different. The smaller a dildo is the firmer it needs to be to feel excellent. For myself, the Acute was a little soft for such a small toy. I would have preferred it to be more firm. Ella is approximately the same size, but much firmer. I have an easier time being successful with Ella.

If you already know that a somewhat smaller toy is the right size for you however, you may find that the Acute's level of firmness is perfect.

That said, I'm finding that the more I use the Acute, the more I like it. Maybe getting used to a toy and all its qualities pulls you closer to liking or preferring those characteristics if its only a little bit outside of your ideal.

Care and Maintenance

Its made of silicone and therefore is an easy care product. It can be washed with soap and water after use. Its non-porous, so it will not harbor bacteria. Its boilable if you want to sterilize it. This makes it easy to safely share with others as well as to use in more than one orifice. Its also bleachable and can be cleaned in the top rack of a dishwasher.

For now I'm storing it on the top of my toy box, but I will likely soon use a plastic bag to keep it lint free.

Any water based lube is appropriate for this toy. I've heard that with platinum silicone toys such as this that its ok to use silicone lube. I tried a drop of Pink on it and it was completely unaffected by that. I would suggest testing on the base if you also want to try this.

Packaging

It comes in a plastic rectangular package. It looks like Tantus uses the same packaging for multiple products. There are several places where the text "For vibrating products" appears. The only place where the word "Acute" appears is on a sticker on the back.

It was a somewhat difficult to open package that doesn't lend itself as a practical storage option.

Tantus uses earth friendly manufacturing practices, including recycling their scrap materials and the solvents used to clean their machinery. I emailed Tantus about the recycling symbol on the package. They replied quickly that the package itself is recyclable, however there is no number inside the recycling symbol arrows, so I'm not sure if it really can be recycled. At least I don't think it can be in my state.

Personal comments

With all my talk about the Acute's size and softness you may think that I'm not happy with it. That's not true. I still consider it to be a good, solidly functional toy. Its just not the perfect combination of size and softness for me.

It is really helpful to see the flexibility of the Acute versus the Ella during a simulation of when it would be used. Awesome!

I absolutely love this toy - and I usually love larger ones so that says something. But you're completely right, it depends on your material preferences.

Weird. Personally I'm growing to dislike the Ella more because I think the shaft leading to the g-spot end is too flexible, yet the Acute hits dead on almost every time and with the right amount of pressure.

    Thanks
