The Icicles No. 22 is a great toy for both solo play and couples play, and for any and all occasions. Heat it up or cool it down, toy yourself or your partner - this toy works great for most any use. Use it solo to hit all your weak spots, or help your lover find theirs.


As an anal toy, you should be careful. It *does* have a flared base, but not a very wide one, so I never went past the lower bulb. Its length is great for deep penetration, but I never went past the second bulb, for fear of it getting stuck (I've never had this happen, but I've heard the horror stories).


The toy is made of glass - caution must be taken when thrusting. With hard materials like this, you could easily damage or bruise your insides. Gentle/slow play is probably ideal, but if you're careful, any use should be fine.


I dropped this toy multiple times! Glass is great, but it doesn't have a lot of grip. However, it is sturdy. I haven't found any nicks, scratches or cracks. Guess I'll have to be more careful - as should you, if you buy the Icicles No. 22 (or any glass toy for that matter).

The glass is wonderful for staving off smells. I use this toy anally, regularly, and with just a quick rinse and scrub, it's clean, odorless, and ready for storage. It's taste-free, though I'd be careful about sucking on it. Glass is hard, and if you slip or your partner thrusts, you could get hurt. Some people prefer materials with some give (like silicone) - if that is the case, you may not enjoy this toy. Glass is hard and has ZERO give.


The bulbed end is probably my favorite feature of this dildo, and is great for that first penetration (and each consecutive one!). It acts like a plug, where you feel the initial stretch, and then pop back to a smaller width. It can be heated or cooled for temperature play - I have not tried this yet, but I plan on it!

I love the shape of this toy. The bulbed end adds some great sensations to penetration, and, if you can reach the second bulb, it will do the same. Hits the P-spot and G-spot just right, assuming you know where they are!


The No. 22 is a pretty average-sized toy. It is 1.5" wide, with little variations at the bulbs, so it shouldn't stretch anyone (except, perhaps, first-timers) and has an insertable length of 6.25". This size is probably perfect for the average user.


Travel-wise, I'd be iffy about the No. 22. Glass is fragile, so you'd need to have a very safe way to store it. The packaging it arrives in does not provide real home storage, so you need to find your own. A pouch will be fine for the drawer, but it can still be knocked around. If traveling,I'd recommend wrapping a t-shirt around it and stuffing it somewhere it won't be loose.

This toy's function is entirely user-based. Its shape is basic, and there is little texture, so you have to maneuver it by hand to get the pleasure you want. The base is rather small, but works fine in keeping the toy standing. I have no problem with any of this! I *expect* to be working the toy my own way (vibrators don't do it for me), so riding or working the toy by hand is no issue. Just don't expect ultimate pleasure from this toy if you prefer heavily textured dildoes.

The No. 22 is very easy to clean. A good rinse and scrub when you're done should do the job. However, if you're not sure that's enough, you can boil it! That's a huge plus you gain with glass toys.


Storing the toy is an issue. I have no pouch or anything for it, so I wrap mine in a t-shirt and stick it in my drawer. If dropped, it could crack, shatter, or get nicked. However, it IS pretty tough - I've dropped mine on bathroom tile several times and found not a single mark.


Any lube will do with the No. 22, however most of my experience has been with water-based. I'd definitely recommend something thicker or longer-lasting, because the lube has no ridges or anything to sit in. The glass is very smooth, so lube can run right down it.

The toy sits in a block of styrofoam, stuck in a plastic box. This packaging is definitely great for shipping the toy to you - however I wouldn't use it for personal storage, and the it has no "reusability." No one knows who or what touched the styrofoam, and I wouldn't want to end up with bits of it all over my toy either. It's also rather bulky compared to the toy. Definitely find your own safe storage.


I found no instructions in my package - only a catalogue of toys. However, instructions aren't really necessary for this toy. It's simple and needs little explanation.

Overall, my experience with this toy has been great. If you love glass toys, the Icicles No. 22 would be a great addition to your collection. Works great for vaginal and anal play, and temperature play, and can be used anywhere in the home. I use mine in the shower regularly, which is great because when I'm done I can clean it immediately and easily.


Definitely a good purchase for anyone who needs a good, solid dildo!
