Magnum - dildo discontinued by Fun Factory - review by Carmine~

This was one of the first 'bigger' toys I have purchased, and did so with the thought in mind that it would be used both manually and with a harness.

First off, the design. Sleek and smooth, it's not intimidating in appearance at all compared to more realistic dildos. It has a slight curve into towards the g spot, while the 'head' actually veers more towards the back rather than the front. The head also bulges out towards the sides and is a definite centimetre or two larger than the shaft. Due to this initial penetration can be difficult/uncomfortable. The way the head leans backwards does nothing for me personally. The stimulation of the g spot comes simply from the curve, combined with movement, and the small bulge at the front. I do not know why they designed it this way but honestly, it does seem a little silly, as the larger tip at the back doesn't add anything to the experience.

Silicone was a good feature with this toy. It is firm, but not overwhelmingly so. It still has give and bend, but at the same time it is quick to return to it's original position. The silicone had a lovely matt finish, and suited the colour (which was black) well. Silicone lube is obviously a big no, so water based it was. I found though sometimes the lube had difficultly staying on the surface of the toy, and once inserted the toy would come out with an uneven layer of lube over the length of the dildo. This could be a combination of water-based lube and the streamlined design of the toy despite the matt finish.

The larger base allows for easy strap-one use, but can make manual hand use a little difficult, especially with the addition of lubrication. Though the base does give the option of insertion then using the base of the hand for stimulation, either with more forceful motions, or teasing slaps. No slips when using with the harness, remains secure and in place. The larger girth may mean your harness may not be able to fit it, so be aware. In use, the girth is a good size, and despite being a beginner, I found it easy to adapt too and not overwhelming.

I enjoyed it in use, both personally and with my partner. But on the opposite end of the spectrum, my partner who is physically smaller then myself struggled immensely with insertion. It was their first time using the a larger toy, but even after several times with the toy they can still cannot insert it fully without pain. We think this may be due to just being unable to handle the size and the intensity we tend to use it at.

This toy would be good for long time uses and also people newer to the scene. I felt it was accommodating enough for someone like me, but could still be immensely enjoyed by people with more experience as well. But keep in mind, the size and girth combination can be overwhelming for some, but only time will tell if this is something that can be changed.
