The Luna mini pleasure bead system by Lelo is a set of four weighted balls and a silicone holster used to strengthen a woman's pelvic floor muscles through kegel exercises. This set is similar to the original Luna beads but is now offered in a smaller size in order to suit more inexperienced users.

The weighted balls are made out of a body safe ABS plastic and contain a metal ball of unknown material. The pull string located on the bottom ball is made out of braided nylon. The holster for the balls is made out of super-safe silicone. All materials that come in contact with the body are body-safe and rank highly on the EF safety scale.

The Luna bead system consists of four weighted balls and a silicone holster. The beads come in two weights and are distinguished by their color. One ball of each pair is just a plain sphere that has an embossed ridge to hold it securely in the harness. The other bead looks the same as the top bead but it also has a nylon loop attached to allow for easy removal. The holster is two simple rings that are attached with a short middle bad. At the bottom of one of the rings there is a hole to feed the retrieval string through.

The set is quite small when assembled, and is much more comfortable than the earlier, larger, original version.

These beads do a great job at exercising the pelvic floor muscles. While some might be aroused by the moving sensations caused by the inner weights, I use them for the intended purpose of a kegel exercising device. The beads do a great job of exercising the muscles as well as being very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Due to the body-safe materials that the system is made of, care and maintenance is a breeze. Before use, make sure to wash each component in warm soapy water. Make sure to rinse well and dry with a lint-free cloth. After use, simply pop the balls out of the holster and wash with warm soapy water and wipe dry or allow to air dry.

Storage is simple. Either put the system back into the molded holder in the box, or store them in the included satin pouch.

Due to the fact the holster is made of silicone, make sure to only use water-based lube with the beads if needed to avoid a material reaction.

The beads arrive in a white cardboard box with the Lelo logo embossed on the top. The outer packaging is a white box with a picture of the beads and some information about the product. The inner white box can easily be used for storage, though it is a bit large. The package also included instructions, warranty information, a storage pouch, and a sample of lube.

I ordered this set hoping it would be more comfortable than the original ones, and it is very much so. The only real flaw I have with the system is that it is very loud. With the original set, the metal balls were coated in something to dampen the noise they make as they roll around, and that is not the case here. I can actually hear the balls when I walk around if I am in a quiet room. Other than that, the system is great and I would highly recommend it.
