The Luna Bead system comes with four beads and a harness. The beads are made of smooth body safe PC ABS hard plastic that is non-porous. The durable silicone harness can be stretched, bent and twisted without tearing to accommodate the beads. The four beads are hollow and each contain a metal weight that can roll around freely inside. The pink beads weigh 28 grams and the blue beads weigh 37 grams. The plastic shell of each bead has ridges on the inside so that the metal weight creates a slight vibration when rolling around inside. The retrieval loop is made of a woven plastic string (a mystery material not listed in the manual). The beads fit into the harness perfectly with no rough edges or seams.

The interchangeable bead design of the Luna Bead system is particularly useful for beginners because it allows for a gradual increase in weight. The beads can be used individually or mixed and matched in the harness. The retrieval cord is attached directly to the bead so it can be inserted without the harness and without fear of losing it in the vagina. One pink bead and one blue bead have a retrieval cord, while the other two do not. There is a small hole in one end of the harness where the retrieval cord of the bead is pulled through. Each bead has a diameter of 29 millimeters, or a little over an inch. The total length of the harness is about 3 inches. The retrieval cord measures about 2 and a half inches. The size of the mini beads are ideal for beginners and for women, like me, who have not gone through childbirth. They are very comfortable to use and do not cause any discomfort when inserted properly (Lelo recommends using a dab of water-based lube to make insertion easier). The Luna beads are discreet and travel-friendly, although they make a little rattling noise when moved (I doubt anyone would know what they are based on the sound).

The best part about the Lelo Mini Luna Beads, in my opinion, is the sensation of wearing them. Lelo markets this product as a pleasure system, so it is not only beneficial to your sexual health, but it feels great to use. The movement of the weights inside the beads creates an arousing sensation that is great before sex. I have not been using this system for very long, but I do notice that I have more control over my PC muscles. I can flex them during sex to create wonderful sensations for my partner and I.

Lelo suggests mild antibacterial soap and warm to hot water for cleaning. Store out of direct sunlight and keep away from silicone lubes at all costs. Silicone lube will damage the silicone harness. Lelo is a luxury brand and the packaging is no exception. When you receive the box, it is packaged in an outer paper box with photos of the beads and product information. Remove that box and you will reveal the beautiful all-white hard box with the company name in silver on the top. It is a perfect box for storage because it has no writing or pictures that reveal the contents. The beads and harness are nestled in a foam insert that can be removed. Under the insert are the manual, 1-year warranty, satin storage bag, and a sample of Lelo's lube. You can remove the outer packaging to gift the beads.

I chose the Lelo Luna Beads as my first kegel product because I knew that Lelo has an excellent reputation and beautiful designs. I think that these beads are reasonably priced and are higher quality than most kegel beads out there.

Overall my experience with the Lelo Mini Luna Beads is great. They do everything Lelo says they do and have worked well for me. The only thing I dislike about the beads is the noise they make. It isn't bad, but it is possible to hear the rattling when they are inside the vagina (probably only audible to me, but I still feel slightly self-conscious about it).
