We-Vibe Tango is a compact, rechargeable clitoral vibrator. Though small in size, this toy packs a powerful punch! Great things can come in small packages, and Tango is pure proof of that!


Tango is best used for external stimulation. Use on the clitoris, nipples, perineum; any area of your body that's sensitive to vibrations will benefit from the qualities of this toy! It can also be used on the male anatomy by sliding over the penis, testicles, and perineum. While you could insert this toy into your vagina without much worry, it's not designed for that and is discouraged. Similarly, this toy should absolutely not be inserted into the anus. Without a flared base, there's nothing to prevent it from slipping inside of you and causing an embarrassing ER visit.

On top of being used directly against the body, Tango also fits inside any standard sized hole in the base of dildos and other toys. This is a great choice if you've found a dildo you love, but the include bullet isn't powerful enough. It can be inserted into anal toys, dildos, cock rings, etc. which really makes the uses for this toy nearly endless!

While this is a great toy for solo play, it's also a wonderful toy to use with a partner. Since the size is so compact, it's easy to hold the toy against your clitoris during penetrative sex, which takes your love making to a whole new level! Aside from using during intercourse, this vibrator can also be used during mutual masturbation, or by handing the controls over to your partner. It can also be tucked in between your legs while your hands explore your partner! It's a great, non-intimidating toy to introduce to your partner if they're new to sex toys, and is also extremely easy to use.

Play time can advance into the shower or tub to get a little pleasure while you're soaping up. The charging system eliminates the worry of water getting inside of your toy since there's no hole for the charger to plug into. It's a great option if you enjoy pleasure in the tub since submerging it isn't an issue at all.

Thanks to how quiet this toy is, there's little to no worry about using this if you live in a dorm or have a roommate. The quiet vibrations are hardly enough to be heard from under the covers, so nothing would be heard at all through a closed door!

Tango is made from ABS Plastic which has an Eden Material Safety Rating of 8/10. This material is made from food-grade material, is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free. Overall, it's a very safe material and makes an awesome choice for a clitoral vibrator.

Since the toy is made from plastic, there's no give to any part of it other than the button on the end which lightly indents when you press down on it. I believe that the material of the button is made from silicone since the instruction booklet says to only use this toy with water-based lubricants.

The whole toy is very smooth and has a shiny finish. There's no PU or velvet coating, and no texture to the surface of the toy other than at the very bottom where the words 'We-Vibe' and 'Tango' are very slightly raised. Being that it's made from plastic, it glides fairly easily over the skin, and also doesn't collect much dust or lint.


Users who prefer toys with some texture will be slightly disappointed since the surface is so smooth, but it's a great option for someone who isn't sure how they feel about textured toys or for someone who enjoys the easy glide of something completely smooth. The lack of texture, in my opinion, actually adds to the experience since your focus is on the vibrations and patterns rather than the surface of the toy.

The smooth surface makes it simple to slide in and out of various sleeves, dildos, cock rings, and other toys since there's no texture to grab a hold of the material. This is a positive in one sense, but a negative in another. When lubed up or wet, this toy becomes very slippery, so use caution to not drop your toy in those situations.

When the box was first opened, there was no smell or taste to Tango; not even a light, new odor that is often present with toys of this material.

This great vibrator is available in three soft colors; purple, rose, and the one I'm reviewing, blue.

Tango is considered a 'lipstick' style vibrator. Unlike a lot of bullets available on Eden, this one isn't rounded on the end and it doesn't come to a direct point. Instead, the tip has an angle to it that is similar in shape to lipstick. This design makes it so that you can use it for slightly broader stimulation (the flat tip is 11/16" long and 1/2" wide), or for more pin-point stimulation depending on how you're using it.


The size of this vibrator is wonderful! The full length is only 3 3/8" long and has a diameter of 5/8". Most toys that have an area where a bullet is inserted have a hole that is also 5/8", making it a wonderful choice if you're looking to replace a weak bullet in a toy you really like.

Tango is also great if you need something that is discreet, easy to hide, and great for traveling with. While it's not as discreet as some clitoral vibrators available here, it doesn't instantly scream, "I'M A SEX TOY!" either. It easily fits inside even a small purse, and can be tucked away into a nightstand drawer without it taking up much space.

The compact size makes it a great option for someone new to sex toys since it's very non-intimidating, but also is a must-have for a more advanced user looking for a compact travel vibrator that has a good amount of power to it.

Unlike a lot of bullets, you don't need to worry about strange battery types or horrible watch batteries because this toy is rechargeable! The charging system consists of an adaptor (with a 71" cord) that plugs into a circular base which then magnetically connects to the bottom of the toy. The toy must be laying down while charging and be aware that since the magnets aren't that powerful, it doesn't take much to disconnect the toy from the charger. It's best to keep it away from pets and anything that might disturb it so that your toy is able to peacefully recharge.



When Tango first arrives at your door, you'll need to charge the toy. It only takes about 90 minutes for the toy to become fully charged. We-Vibe calls it 'rapid recharge'. When the toy is plugged in, a small light shows up on the circular base piece of the toy. It glows the entire time the toy is charging, and shuts off once the toy is fully juiced up and ready for action!


The We-Vibe website also mentions that a single charge can last up to 2 hours. Don't take this as, "when fully charged the toy lasts for 2 hours". It says 'up to' which means that the most time you'll get from a single charge is 2 hours. More realistically, you'll get between 30-45 minutes when fully charged, but this also depends on which settings you're using. Inside the instruction manual that comes along with the toy, it states, "Do no use on a single area for more than 15 minutes", so given that instruction, it would be easy to use for your 15 minutes of fun, and put it back on the charger when you're finished.

There is only one button on this toy, it's in the center of the white area where the charger connects. The button is easy to press when you're wanting to change function, but is difficult to 'accidentally' bump while in use. This button turns the toy on and off, and cycles through the 8 different functions. To turn on, you simply press the button once and you're on the first setting. Every press following that brings you to another setting, and after you've cycled through all of the settings, the next press turns the toy off. If at any point you want to turn the toy off without cycling through the patterns, you hold the button down for a few seconds and the toy powers off. The next time you turn your toy on, it will already be on the last setting you used. This is a great feature if you enjoy one setting more than the others since you don't have to cycle through them to get to the one you really want.

There is a setting for everyone and an intensity level to match anyone's tastes! If you're super sensitive to vibrations, the first two settings are awesome. Likewise, if you're like me and have a 'clit of steel', setting number 4 is amazing!! This is a surprisingly powerful toy, especially considering how compact it is. I was a little worried that applying pressure would change the power that this toy put out, but I'm pleased to say that no matter how firmly I pressed down, the power level didn't decrease!

When the toy is turned on, the base of the toy and a ring around the bottom are illuminated. The lights get brighter the more powerful the setting, and go with the vibration pattern. If you're on one of the pulsating patterns, the lights will follow; glowing while the vibration is happening, and stopping when there is a pause in the pattern. On setting number 6, the light dims as the vibrations are lower, and gets brighter as it intensifies.


Even with the huge amount of power that comes from this toy, it remains a great option if you need something sound discreet. This one isn't going to wake the neighbors, and is likely you could even use it next to your sleeping partner in bed without them knowing, as long as you have a small amount of white noise in your bedroom. Since it's plastic, it does get a little bit louder if it connects with another hard object (like a ring, body jewelry, even fingernails at times), so keep that in mind while using.

Tango is so amazingly powerful that it practically swims in water! There's no change in power, no worry of water leaking inside; this is a great choice if you enjoy relaxing in the tub and spending a little private time by yourself.

Tango is as easy to clean and care for as it is to use! Wash with an anti-bacterial soap and warm water, your favorite sex toy cleaner, or wipe down with isopropyl alcohol or a 10% bleach solution to sterilize. Always make sure that your toy is dry before putting away.

Plastic is normally compatible with all types of lubricant, but We-Vibe wants you to stick with water-based only on this one.

Along with Tango comes a small, silky, drawstring storage pouch to conveniently keep your toy from getting lost or rolling around in a drawer where it could get damaged. The pouch is large enough to hold the toy, and both charger pieces with a little room left over. It's the best way to store your toy to prevent anything from happening to it. It doesn't take up much space; it should fit in most nightstand drawers, dressers, and toy boxes without any issue.

For being what I would consider a 'luxury' vibrator, the packaging doesn't live up to standards. It's a tasteful looking package, but is far from discreet. With a full color image of the toy on the front of the box, and the words 'Personal Massager' below it; you'd be hard pressed to convince Grandma that this is for your back pain!


The box comes in a plastic bag, is mostly white, and is made from a thin cardboard material. It's not a typical shaped box which makes it a little bit odd to handle. There is only a small amount of information on the back of the box that is displayed in 6 different languages, an artistic depiction of a woman's form on either angled side, and a small amount of company information on the bottom. There's nothing about the box that makes it important to keep, so breaking down and recycling it is totally acceptable.


On the bottom of the box is a little tab that pulls out, and the top of the box lifts up. Be careful when opening the box that you're not holding it upright since the contents could potentially fall out. Once the cover is lifted up, you'll see a plastic cover and tray that are surrounding the toy. The tray was made to cradle the toy to prevent it from moving during shipment. It holds both Tango and the circular charging base. While this setup is great for shipping, it's a pain in the butt if you want to try to store your toy in it. The plastic cover doesn't like to stay in place, making it a poor choice for storage.


Above the plastic tray, is another small box. Fortunately, when you open the box you see the adaptor, and a storage pouch! This really makes up for the fact that the packaging doesn't work well for storage. When you move the small box, you'll see the instructional booklet underneath it. There is only the most necessary information included and is stated in 10 languages; English is only on two pages.



Since the box lacks discretion, it would only make a suitable gift for someone that you're really close with and wouldn't be embarrassed to receive a sex toy from you. Think it through with caution!

After falling madly in love with We-Vibe Salsa, I decided I had to try Tango and see if my experience would be just as pleasurable, or if Salsa truly was the ONE toy for me. I did a lot of reading, trying to decide if I wanted to buy a back-up Salsa or give the Tango a shot. I decided it was worth checking out, and I'm really pleased that I did!

Tango is everything that Salsa is, and a little bit more. The only difference between the two is the shape of the vibrator. The 'lipstick' like tip on Tango gives the user a choice in whether they want a more broad stimulation, or more of a pin-point sensation. The power is equal, the sound is equal, and my love for this toy is equal to my feelings for the Salsa.

Out of the two, do I have a favorite? Well, I guess you could say whichever one is fully charged at the moment!
