The majority of these are metal which is nice and smooth, and has a cool feeling when first placed on the skin. Between the clamps is a nice sturdy chain. Latex covers all four ends of the clamps. Latex is a synthetic rubber which makes the metal a little softer and covers any sharp edges.

I really like the design of these. They do not look cheap at all. The metal chain that holds the two clamps together is roughly 10" in length and when the clamps are nice and tightly secured, can be tugged on quite hard without budging. The clamps themselves are spring loaded and easy to put on and adjust. These are very comfortable, well I guess that's depends on how tight you make them.
