I bought this toy over a year ago and was super excited when it arrived, but in the last year it has creeped its way to the back of my toy box. I can honestly say that our We-Vibe 3 has not received any use in the last 4 months.

I will begin by telling you that my partner and I use this device strictly for hetro/penis-vagina use, in addition to a fair amount of solo play for myself. This being said, I cannot say how well this toy functions for any other uses.
Overall I am a big fan of the concept of the We-Vibe 3; its sleek design, discreet charging case, remote control, adjustable speeds/settings, pretty colors, and water-proof design are all very exciting. But the product itself fails to live up to all the thought that was put into the design. In reality I find this toy cost prohibitive.

Sleek Design:
While the We-Vibe 3 is a pretty toy, I find the texture lacking. The body of the toy is coated in a slick shiny silicone. When lubricant is added (the body’s own or water-based, never silicone as it degrades the materials) the We-Vibe becomes incredibly hard to handle, slipping and sliding with the slightest movement, making it difficult to keep in place. The We-Vibe 3 does have wavy ridges built into the spoons for better traction/stimulation, but I found that they were of little help.

Discreet Charging Case:
One aspect I really enjoy in the design of this product is its charging case: a simple white plastic holder for the We-Vibe 3 and remote with a built in magnetic charger and lid. The holder even lights up to tell you that the We-Vibe 3 is in the correct position and charging. But, while the shape of the case and the concept of a magnetic charger is alluring, once the We-Vibe 3 is docked the light will continue to stay on and charging, there is no indication when the We-Vibe 3 is fully charged and the power never shuts off unless it is unplugged, shortening the battery life incredibly. Essentially you have to set a timer to shut off the charger in order to preserve the longterm life of the product, or risk an undercharged and shortened battery life if the toy is removed too soon.

Remote Control:
The idea of a remote control was a huge appeal to my partner and I when purchasing this product. I loved the idea that he could control the speed and intensity of the We-Vibe 3, increasing the erotic tension and excitement. The only problem is the remote doesn’t really work! It works if the We-Vibe 3 is not in use, that is to say if there is nothing blocking the 4 feet between the remote and the We-Vibe 3. If however, there is anything between the the remote and the We-Vibe 3 the remote becomes useless. The only way to adjust the speed or setting when in use is by repositioning so that there is no flesh around the We-Vibe 3 and the remote is within inches of it, or repositioning so that you can press the start button on the toy itself. Both of these options are awkward mood killers. When coupled with how slippery the body of the toy can be with any sort of lubrication, it is nearly impossible to adjust the setting while in play. After a couple of times of having to untangle ourselves, pull the toy completely out, wipe it off, and then adjust the settings/speed we usually just toss it aside for another toy.

Adjustable Speeds/Settings:
As I said before the remote is useless in play, the device is slippery, often requiring removal in order to gain the proper control needed to find and press the tiny sprinkle sized button to adjust the settings. In addition, because the button is on the top/side of the device, if there is too vigorous movement/humping the button is bumped and the We-Vibe shuts off, requiring us to pull it out, wipe it off and turn it back on.
All of this might have been manageable but the intensity of the We-Vibe 3 is lacking as well; buzzy at best. The intensity of the We-Vibe 3 is quite low. This product would only work for those with the most sensitive of appetites. The amount of mood killing finagling that the We-Vibe 3 takes, coupled with its low level vibrations, makes it iffy at best whether or not I am going to get off.

Colors:
No complaints! They are pretty!

Waterproof:
The We-Vibe 3 is waterproof, making clean up a breeze! I just wash it up with toy cleaner and rinse it off with no worry.
