When we opened up the box and saw the Cobra Libre, there was definitely curiosity in both of our eyes. It's a different kind of shape (sure, you can see the odd shape and modern design online, but it's hard to really understand until it's actually sitting in front of you). So, out of the very fun packaging it came, which was a very modern and clean box, not fancy/high-end like Lelo or njoy toys, but far from the cheap Chinese plastic most things arrive in.

One of the first things we both noticed about the Libre is the very soft and comfortable silicone tube. Sure, it obviously resembles the shape of a throat, with a slight natural curve. The lower portion of the sleeve is firmly held in place, while the upper exposed portion is easily manipulated by a free hand (or your partner's hand) and can vary the pressure on the top half of the sleeve. We took turns, turning the toy on while several fingers were shoved down the 'throat' of the toy, but what was intriguing is that there's nothing inside the toy that moves. Not to say it doesn't do anything, but there's no physical motion or sliding taking place. It turns out, this is literally a vibrator for your penis and more specifically, the head of your penis.

Now, in actual use, the first thing that becomes incredibly obvious, is that unlike ANY sleeve type masturbators out there (Fleshlight, Tenga, etc.), this is not a very deep toy. It really only has less than 4" of actual depth to fit in to, so any stimulation from the toy is limited to your head, and not the shaft. It's probably best to start with some lube inside the toy, and in our case some went on me as well. The design creates a slight suction with your dick in the toy, and then the fun began.

Turning on is simple. As the instructions indicate: hold the top (of 3) buttons for 2 seconds. They're more touch panels than buttons and as such are water/lube proof (though the instructions say not to run the toy immersed in water). The remaining two buttons increase/decrease vibration intensity (which is actually pretty strong at full power) and then continue to cycle through various patterns (we became frustrated by the cycling function, and really had no idea when it was in a plan vibration or a pattern).

So for a few minutes, I thought this was a waste of money (and time). How would I possibly enjoy a vibrator on the head alone? However, as we continued to play with the vibration patterns, things really started to kick in. Realize, since this was for evaluation the first time, we strictly limited its use to the toy only, no other contact or stimulation. In the end, I was incredibly surprised at how well the stimulation works.

Clean-up is incredibly easy since it's waterproof, so just soap and water does the job. The really frustrating part is that water (or lube) can stimulate the buttons, and it will randomly switch on while washing it (we experienced this cleaning it out of the box and then following each use). Other than that, care is very simple.

Since it's silicone, avoid silicone-based lubes!

We've used the Cobra Libre several times since my original review, and it's fairly consistent. Feels great, though it always seems like it's not far enough on your dick to accomplish much, but after a while and quite out of nowhere, you're ready to cum! It's definitely not a very deep orgasm from the Cobra Libre alone, but when coupled with other stimulation (best from your partner), it definitely delivers!
