Bamboo lounge pants - lounge pants discontinued by Male Power - review by js250

The Black Bamboo Lounge Pants by Male Power, is packaged in a discreet box that is also perfect for gift giving. The box was slightly larger than I would expect, measuring 10 1/2" long by 6" wide and 2" deep. It is very uniquely designed, has matte coloring and computer generated artwork. There is a picture of a man with no shirt wearing the lounge pants the left side and wrapping around the corner. The company name and a bamboo plant are on the right side. The company name is written Vertically up the right side. The top is plain, the bottom has a size chart and the back has a few facts about the material and care, as well as another picture of the man from the cover. There is an inset picture of the other color of lounge pants.

These are a surprise for my husband, and I figured I might as well wash them so he could wear them when he got home. I pulled the plastic bag encased pair of loungers out of the box, removed the bag....and became obsessed. These feel like raw silk inside!! The exterior of the material is really soft, but the interior is silky, soft, smooth and so comfortable!! I was horrible and tried these on before I washed them. Of course, they were way too big, but this let me know that the ones in my next order....are MINE!!

I reluctantly took them off and put them in the washer. Wash these with other like colors, in COLD water, and do not add bleach. I did use the gentle cycle since I had other items that require special washing care. The box says to tumble dry on cool, but I just put them in with the rest of my items and two already dry towels, set the dryer for 15 minutes. Open the dryer, let the items cool for about 5 minutes, a good time for softener sheets,and the run the dryer another 15 minutes. I did not have to go another cycle, but sometimes it is necessary. I figured this little trick out for winter, when it get to around zero degrees outside.

The pants have an elastic waist, and is made from 95% bamboo and 5% spandex. They do have a great stretch to them, and do not give my husband high waters when he kneels down. Bamboo is a material I was unfamiliar with until I got the Leaf towels. I researched it and found that it is an antibacterial and hypoallergenic material. Bamboo, like silk and wool, is a thermal material that is cool for summer but helps with warmth in the winter. It helps wick the sweat and moisture from your skin and is breathable. Some of this info is also on the back of the box. "Bamboo is 100% naturally grown and 100% biodegradable", making this material environmentally friendly.

My husband wears size 36x38 Levis, is 6' 3" tall and weighs 215 pounds. I ordered the loungers a size larger since he loves being comfortable in loose clothing when watching television, and it is a good thing I did. These lounge pants run about 1/2 too small. They fit him perfectly. These are loose and Hit him at the top of his shoes, so even the length was good.

These pants are a great buy for my husband. Actually, I just bought the teal ones for myself...The quality is great, no fading, stretching or other issues. I am very happy with these and plan on getting them for Christmas gifts this year for our family.
