The Satin Sugar Dry Shampoo & Body Powder by Cake is a fabulous product for both men and women. Although it is probably designed more for women (it has a pretty girly fragrance), men can use it for the same reasons women might use it.

The uses of this product are for spreading around your body and your hair. When used in your hair it gives you a fresh look. It sucks up grease and refreshes your mane. You can skip a day or two in the shower, put this on your roots and look showered and renewed! It is great for on the go when you need to soak up some access oil. It is also great if your hair gets greasy quickly, just put this on mid-day. What about after the gym or a sweaty activity (c'mon you're here at EF, I think you know what I am talking about!)? Perfect for that too. Camping? Excellent replacement for cold showers! This stuff rules for the busy person!

Beyond your hair, this can be used as a body powder. It offers a slight hue of color and smells delicious on the skin. Just sprinkle this anywhere on your body, rub in and you'll be smelling fresh in seconds!

Texture is a light, airy feel. It is like baby powder, but thinner. It feels soft and smooth and then blends right in to the skin or hair. The powder is not thick and takes no time to blend. When I rubbed this into the top of my hand it felt velvety and soft. It didn't feel thick or heavy. It does come off on clothes if you rub into them. I tested this on a towel, and it came off on the towel. As far as the feel in the hair (the place I plan on exclusively using it) - it was light and dry. It was not sticky or greasy like some dry shampoos. It blended well and looked great!

I love the smell of this dry shampoo. It smells of a light flowery and girly scent. The packaging says it is a lemon-sugar smell. While I can see the sugar park, kind of, the lemon part, no not really. It is more like a sweet scent of clan. It is great when you don't feel clean (hence the need for dry shampoo) and you put this on and smell so fresh and clean! Mind you, this won't take away strong body odors, it will only mask greasy hair!

Ingredients: Corn Starch, Silica, Parfum, Caprylyl Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Aqua (Water), Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Eugenol, Coumarin, Citral May Contain: Iron oxides (CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499)

This stuff is way better than baby powder. It is my lifesaver! I have been using all kinds of dry shampoo over the last year or so. I find that if I skip showers, and use dry shampoo in-between showers, my hair is less brittle and dry. MY hair feels more healthy. So while some might think it is gross, I only wash my hair 2x a week. But I'll tell you what - it looks so healthy now that I do! I haven't solve the non-greasy feel, but I have solved the greasy look with this dry shampoo! I put a few small shakes in my hand (it comes out quick) and lightly pour it on different sections of my hair. Then I toss my hair a few times and it is blended! On the first day without a shower, I use this once during the day. On day two or three without a shower, I will use this two or three times throughout the day. It stays well, but I find new greasy patches that I would like to touch up.

The packaging was just a simple plastic bag and the product was inside. The canister did not leak in the shipping. The canister is tightly locked and you have to push the plastic down into the canister to get open. Once you open it, it is going to be a little messy. The lid doesn't keep the powder in well. You must have it upright at all times. I let it roll around on the table, and even in the closed position, the powder poured out.

The packaging alone would make a nice gift. You could put this in a gift basket for a bridal shower or a birthday gift. It could be added to a gift and would be a great addition. Just make sure that the gift is for someone who has dark hair - that is who this product is made for!
