Heart's Desire Warming Massager starts off as a pouch of translucent liquid that is clear on one side, and has a red heart decal on the other. Inside is a small square metal piece that once it is bent activates the heating agent. Once activated, the liquid inside turns to semi-hard crystal that heats up the pouch instantly.

I bought this pouch to apply to my lower back and shoulders, which have been consistency problematic for me since I was a child. It came in the mail yesterday afternoon, and I used it last night before and during sleep.

After figuring out how to activate the pouch's heating agent, I placed it just below my pillow so when I laid down, the pad was below my shoulders. The warning label says it can get too hot to use without something in between it and your skin, but I found the pouch to be soothingly warm by itself. Then again, I get cold easily and like the heat so it may be different for other people.

I laid there playing on my DS for about an hour before putting it away for sleep. By that point, the pouch had lost much of its heat. This is expected, as it's meant to be a massager and not a heating pad. So I wasn't surprised or annoyed by this.

In the morning, my shoulders actually felt great! It definitely soothed the savage beasts that are my shoulder muscles, and I am very thankful!

You can reuse these, which is a great feature. To do this, you simply boil the pouch until the crystals turn back into the liquid, and it's ready! Very appreciated.

The only thing I could say was really problematic was trying to activate the heating agent. The little metal piece needed a lot of working and bending in different directions for it to finally 'snap' and activate the heating liquid, which was reminiscent of activating a glow stick.

I would definitely recommend this!

I still like it, but after reactivating it twice, it seems to be harder to activate. The little metal piece needs to be cranked more than it did originally, and that was hard enough. Hoping it won't continue to be more difficult.
